As a professional Chef I was brought in kitchens of my parents in Norway where I did my culinary apprenticeship. My skills were then honed under the guidance of such Chefs as Alice Waters, Jeremiah Tower, Bruce Adelles, Ken Hom and Leone Giavonni. After cooking and pairing wines on Robert Mondavi's vineyards I developed several restaurants and hotels with prominent National brands and then owned several of my own. I've had the pleasure to be a Guest Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York. I helped develop a Culinary school by writing their curriculums and teaching over 3200 Students. My passion over the years has been to study and become proficient in the flavor profiles of many regions of the world including American Cuisines.

Steve was great! We had early communication which was very easy, we purchased this dinner as a Christmas gift for our parents and they were blown away, Steve was professional and explained to us each dish as he was serving it to us, he also engaged in fun conversation as he was preparing the meal not to mention he had my 3 year old niece as his special helper. I would highly recommend using take a chef for any special events or dinners. We would definitely use Steve again for our next dinner. Thanks again for a unforgettable experience.

Chef Steve was wonderful! He gave us a huge array of options for our 4-course meal, and we were able to work with him to choose the exact dishes we wanted well in advance. He was extremely communicative and would respond to my emails within minutes. He arrived at our house 4 hours in advance to cook. The food was AMAZING! We had a charcuterie board, spinach and artichoke tarts, heirloom and tomato salad, polenta with sausage, short ribs, pesto stuffed chicken, and a rosemary pound cake with chocolate ganache and sea salt gelato. Everything was wonderful, and perfectly spaced timing-wise. Thank you so much Chef Steve!!! I can't recommend this experience enough.
