FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer 4 service options depending on the speed you need your data recovered. We typically need to perform a free evaluation of your media device before we can provide you with a firm price. This is because there are several types of media failures that can occur. Consumers who are not in a huge hurry for their data will be looking at between $299 - $999 for drives 1TB or less. Drives needing clean room work will be at the upper end of that range due to the time, equipment, parts and specialized labor required to recover data from such situations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a basic quote range based on the media type and size. The customer will bring their media device or ship their media device to our lab. We will then perform a free evaluation of their media device. We will call the client and provide them with a firm quote and results of the diagnosis of their failed media device. The client will tell us to do the recovery or not. If they decline service....there is no charge. If the customer moves forward with recovery, we will add their media device to our queue and begin the recovery attempt. We will provide updates throughout the recovery process. When the recovery is finished, we email them an invoice or payment link so the bill can be paid quickly and easily online or they can send a check or bring cash directly to the lab where the recovery has been completed. We will return the data on a brand new media device the customer purchases from us or one they provide to us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are certified and trained by the leading data recovery training center in the world . We also perform our own R&D since the hard drive manufacturing industry is changing so rapidly. We are constantly dealing with new hard drive models and changes. We have to reverse engineer the devices to learn to recover the data from them. We also work very closely with two companies that lead our industry in building data recovery equipment and tools so we can be ahead of the data recovery curve which allows us to recover data from hard drives that other companies will simply call unrecoverable.
