- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Although you can cover a lot of ground by emailing or speaking on the telephone, there is nothing like face to face contact. I always encourage potential clients to meet me for coffee. During an in-person meeting we are able to get to know each other better. Perhaps there is a chemistry there, or we find something we have in common. It also lets me get a better idea of what you desire for your celebration and how I might be able to make that happen.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved entertaining, whether it be a family holiday celebration in my home or a birthday party for a loved one. One day I saw a friend talking about her upcoming wedding on Facebook. I reached out to her, and asked if she had a planner. She was the most amazing, detailed bride. She had everything laid out, all I had to do was execute it. The day after the wedding I woke up exhausted, but so excited. I knew that being an event planner was my calling. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love.
