FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in clear, upfront pricing. A small service fee covers sending a trained technician to your home to assess your needs and provide professional recommendations. Before any work begins, your technician will explain the available options and provide a detailed estimate, so you can make an informed decision without hidden fees or surprise charges. We charge by the job, not by the hour, so there are no overtime charges based on how long the work takes. Pricing varies depending on the service and scope of work. We also offer seasonal promotions, online coupons, Home Care Club member savings, and payment options for qualifying customers and projects. Ask our team about current offers and available payment options.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process begins by listening to your concerns and scheduling a convenient two-hour appointment window. You will receive helpful updates about your appointment, including a text when your technician is on the way. The message includes the technician’s name and photo, so you know who to expect at your home. Once your technician arrives, they will assess the situation and explain their findings in clear, easy-to-understand terms. Before any work begins, you will receive options and a detailed estimate with upfront pricing, allowing you to make an informed decision. Once you approve the work, our technician can often complete it right then, during the same visit. They will complete the work with care, respect your home, and review the finished project with you. Applicable warranties, guarantees, and financing options will also be explained.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our technicians receive extensive hands-on and ongoing training in their respective trades. All our HVAC technicians hold EPA certifications, and our electricians carry the licenses required by the state. Across our plumbing and electrical teams, certifications and licenses include Residential Plumber, Residential Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, Master Plumber, and Master Electrician. We also provide weekly training on a variety of topics, including safety practices, current codes, new equipment, technical skills, customer service, and industry best practices. This ongoing education helps our technicians stay informed and provide safe, reliable, high-quality service.
