To whom it may concern, I'm writing this letter on behalf of Chris Slocum, recommending him for the positions of strength and conditioning coach . I've known Chris personally and professionally for the past 15 years. I started training with Chris at Innovative Sports Training in Richfield, Minnesota when I was 12 years old. From that point on, he has given me the fundamentals of training and weight lifting that I still use to this day. His teachings in all aspects of weight lifting and performance training, including diet, have given me the tools necessary to move on to the next level of my hockey career, whether it be high school, college, or my current position in the National Hockey League. I have so much confidence in Chris's ability that I still train with Chris in my off-season strength and conditioning workouts, and I consistently arrive at training camp in better shape than any of my teammates. I have Chris to thank for that. Lastly, I know Chris is a good and loyal friend. One of his best qualities is developing lasting friendships that allow him to gain trust and build confidence in young athletes, and in turn develop them to reach their full potential. He genuinely cares about his students and wants what is best for them. His number one priority is safety in the weight room, thus making him a perfect fit for training young athletes. He is great at adapting workouts for younger kids so their bodies develop properly and their growth is not hindered. That is one reason I still work with Chris today, and I know I wouldn't be living my dream of playing in the NHL if it weren't for his guidance and expertise. Sincerely, Jack Hillen Defenseman, Washington Capitals

I am a profession hockey player and I've trained with Chris for years now and he is a very motivated and a very knowledgeable trainer. Every year his knowledge of training and nutrition grows and has been instrumental in helping me become a better athlete. Its unfortunate he left Minnesota because I can't train with him anymore but fortunate for anyone who will train with him in Colorado. I highly recommend Chris as a trainer!
