My 8-year-old daughter wanted to play the flute and Dorothy was very patient and supportive. She was so encouraging and creative with finding new ways to help my daughter get a great sound and reach those tough notes for very little fingers!

Dorothy has been a great teacher. I have not played in 20 years and she was great at leading me back into it. She was patient and encouraging when I got frustrated. I would recommend her for anyone!

Dorothy is wonderful! I wanted to resume playing flute after a 35 year hiatus and Dorothy has been extremely supportive and helpful. She has offered many tips and techniques that I never learned when I was young. She provides interesting, challenging assignments and discusses the music theory and various ways to interpret the piece. I am enjoying working with her very much.

Dorothy sized up my music problem (getting the beat for jazz) in the first five minutes. Then she did a fabulous job of working with me to remedy the problem and help me gain greater jazz proficiency. She also helped me gain confidence in my existing ability and skills.. I play in two bands, one very good and very demanding, and I've been struggling. Now I'm looking forward to playing in that group. She taught me in her home for an hour. She was on time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I only have good things to say about Dorothy. She is a great teacher, a good listener and very helpful. For example, I’m just beginning to learn guitar and having difficulties with my reach for certain chords. Dorothy taught me alternative chords, allowing me to play the songs in the meantime. I enjoy working with her and I highly recommend her.

About 8 months ago i decided to finally learn how to play a musical instrument. I'm 52 years old and before starting my lessons with Dorothy I couldn't even read music. Dorothy is an amazing teacher. She tailors my lessons to best fit how I learn.
