Welcome to the wonderful world of music lessons. I am a professional performing musician and recently earned a doctorate in classical guitar from the esteemed Eastman School of Music. I have taught guitar and mandolin for the past six years.
I teach to the highest standards, and aim for my students to be not just guitar players, but complete musicians. All of my students learn to read music, learn solid and correct technique, and the fundamentals of music theory as they apply to the music you learn with me. I teach not only classical guitar, but rock, country and bluegrass, and beginning jazz guitar.
My students have ranged in age from 6 to 83 (never too late to start!), and in abilities from total beginners to college guitar majors. I offer hour, quarter-hour, and half-hour lessons.
I have been on faculty at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, the Eastman Community Music School, and in the summers at the Rocky Ridge Music Center. I currently perform with the Colorado Guitar Quartet, Story and Clark, and Magpie, in addition to solo work. I have also played with the Denver Mandolin Orchestra.
