Keenist’s mission is to help you tap into the food and lifestyle that’s optimal for you. To teach you how to start paying attention and listening deeply to the signs and signals from your body and mind. You are your own health expert so, instead of telling you what to do, I give you the knowledge, support and tools you need to take control of your health! I found Stephanie on Thumbtack as I sought help for my health concerns of perimenopause symptoms, weight gain, migraines, low energy and managing stress. I knew that Stephanie was the right Health Coach and Nutritionist for me during the initial free consultation! Stephanie has a compassionate approach of providing support to make changes that become healthy habits that can be sustained long-term. I really benefited from learning about the importance of proper and adequate sleep as a foundation to improving my health. Stephanie helped me by breaking down my health goals into actionable “baby steps” that were attainable. As I incrementally reached my goals I gained more confidence in making lasting changes for my health. I loved that Stephanie summarized our sessions and her recommendations in an email. I’ve printed out all of these session notes and recommendations (attachments) and created a binder that I continually reference. I’m very proud of my accomplishments in working with Stephanie! In 6 months I attained my weight loss goal of 20 pounds! I’m getting restful sleep and waking up feeling well rested. My energy has increased and I now can’t miss my daily walks of 30 minutes+ and am incorporating strength training. I rarely get a migraine headache and I’m so happy about that! I also feel that my hormones are more balanced and PMS symptoms have been reduced. I’m also managing stress more effectively and the proper supplementation has helped immensely in improving my health overall. I’ve enjoyed trying new recipes and meal ideas that Stephanie has provided. It’s been fun experimenting with lots of new foods and experiencing new tastes! During the Keenist three-month program, Stephanie offered expert-level knowledge as well as tangible ways to break down my wellness goals. Her blended approach of both nutrition and lifestyle counseling helped to uncover and address some of my issues around food that I had been unable to get past on my own. During our sessions, she asked insightful questions and provided customized strategies for me to use so that I could focus on whichever aspects of my health and wellness were most pressing for me. After every interaction, I came away with accessible hacks and suggestions to implement. Over the course of the program, my sleep and energy improved, I stopped feeling so bloated, and I created and sustained several positive habits that have helped me to optimize my routines, meal plans, and approach to eating well.

If you're a recreational athlete looking for practical, easy solutions in the kitchen look no further than Stephanie Morish. We spent 3 hours together and in that time covered enough ground for me to feel a lot more confident in the kitchen. I thought I was eating well before... turns out, I can do do much better. (And it's easy, too!) Stephanie is easy going, knowledgeable and will immediately put you at ease - I can't say enough about hiring her for cooking lessons. (Or a dozen!)

Working with Stephanie has been an incredible and truly life changing experience. I was raised in a family who often used carbs and sugary foods to cope with any unhappiness or life stress .For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with body image and binge eating. Most of the people I was around had no idea that food addiction had such a strong hold on my life. I hid it well by working out constantly and eating in private. Nobody knew that after a hard day, I would be at home eating a whole pizza and possibly two huge cinnamon rolls. I hated myself and the cycles I would fall into. Last summer I broke my leg and didn’t have the ability to work out as usual. However, I continued my horrible eating patterns and gained about 15 extra pounds. I knew I needed to change both internally and externally. I needed to learn how to be healthy. I also knew I needed to learn how to eat to actually fuel my body. I began losing weight by cutting out gluten and dairy. I still was pretty addicted to carbs and sugar though, and eventually plateaued. I came across Stephanie’s info on Thumbtack and scheduled a free 30 minute consultation. As soon as I started talking with her, I knew we were on the same page, and that she would be a huge help in getting ultimately healthy. Stephanie approaches everything holistically and sees the big life picture. We started by writing down my goals- 1) Lose 10 more pounds, 2) Stop binge eating-especially on the weekends, 3) Learn how to maintain and live a healthy lifestyle. Stephanie customized everything according to my schedule and personal needs. We took everything step by step, and therefore I never felt overwhelmed. She gave me the needed tools at the appropriate times in order to truly succeed. I was encouraged to try to new foods and delicious healthy recipes. Additionally, anytime I needed help or had a question, I would email Stephanie and she would respond promptly and thoroughly! After 8 sessions: I lost 12 pounds, (making that a total of 35 pounds lost altogether!), stopped binge eating, cut out sugar, gained muscle, and am the healthiest, both- physically and mentally that I’ve ever been. I’ve learned to be intentional and love the body I’ve been given. Stephanie is knowledgeable, supportive and kind. I cannot say enough good things about working with Stephanie and the amazing impact she has had on my life.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I evaluate client's daily diet (through asking them to keep a food journal) and then discuss with them tweaks that they can make which will increase their nutrition and crowd out the bad stuff. I also assist them with navigating the grocery store, meal planning and providing them with healthful, quick and delicious recipes they can prepare for themselves.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    Diets don't work and good nutrition is far more complex than the one-carb-one-protein formula. Change doesn’t happen with an about-face. It happens by building up habits in our minds. Slowly, step-by-step, I will help you build new habits and make individualized, easily integrated changes, so that you can begin making healthy decisions, effortlessly, and reach your goals permanently.
