Debbie helped me gain confidence in being able to cook a meal. Since our session, I have cooked some fabulous dishes that I could not have put together before! I highly recommend Debbie and Denver Nutrition, LLC.

Debbie Allen is not only an informative, insightful nutritionist that was right-on with my challenges, she is a professional. She went above and beyond my needs. I owe my success in changing to a healthier, nutritional lifestyle and solving my health issues to Debbie!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$125.00 is my initial appointment fee which includes initial health history review, getting to know you and what you are searching to change in your life, preparing your food analysis and reviewing lab reports. It usually last anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour. Follow up appointments are $75.00 an hour. We spend as much time as you need depending on what health challenges we are working on.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At our initial appointment, we review your health history, recent lab work (if available) and your food diary. We review your unique health challenges and put a meal plan together to address issues: food sensitivities, sleep patterns, pain management, weight management or just the basics - good food for life.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Nutrition Therapy Institute, right here in Denver, CO. I also attend local health and nutrition conferences, to keep up with the current functional medicine research in the area of nutrition, fitness and lifestyle. I am excited to be learning more about DNA, MTHFR, genetic ancestry as well as recent gut microbiome research, which helps us better understand how our genes and good/bad bacteria effect our health, fitness and diet.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had my own health challenges (diagnosed with MS over 10 years ago) and was able to reverse them through proper nutrition, essential oil therapies and lifestyle in 90 days. I like to help people adjust and see how simple it can be to really eat right to feel right.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I help reacquaint clients with Real Food, not food-like substances from a can or a frozen dinner, delivered via microwave cooking. I teach my clients how to embrace simpler eating Habits. I can teach you how to eat healthy in less time it takes to drive to the restaurant, wait in line, and then complain about the taste and the price! Eating whole food meals at home is real and fun, and NOT expensive.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I also teach a class here in Denver at Colorado Free University entitled: How To Fall Asleep and Stay Asleep. Many clients improve their diet and lifestyle habits for sleep, and also have more energy and love life more fully!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Call and interview the nutritionist over the phone. I offer a FREE 30 minute phone consult to get to know one another and answer your pressing nutrition questions.
