FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly rates are difficult to quote for tax preparation, due to the variety and complexity of each return. Part of your reason for hiring me is my years of experience and expertise. You want a professional who works smart rather than one who gets caught up in billable research time that may or may not benefit you. I spend considerable resources on technology and research materials every year so I can provide clients the best possible service at a reasonable price. The total fee for your tax return is determined by the complexity of your tax return and the number of state tax returns. I will discuss your current year return and review your prior year return before giving you an estimate of fees for the current year.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Taking my tax practice online has greatly enhanced the quality of service I provide to my clients. My practice is highly optimized online work, I am able to communicate seamlessly using online tools, exchange documents digitally with my clients, I also provide intake surveys that are easy to fill out and submit for your use, and set up appointments with you without having to pick up the phone. Your interactions with me are not limited to office hours, because I’m very personable and responsive most of the time. You can also use my online or thumbtack portal to accomplish all you need from the comfort of your own home. It's a win-win situation!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPA licensed by the Commonwealth State of Massachusetts and currently living in Denver Colorado. I'm required to attend Continuing Education to maintain my license. I chose to spend all of my continuing education budget on Accounting and Tax topics, in order to be as responsive and helpful as I can be, I work to stay up to speed on recent developments related to my industry.
