Violin Lessons (for children or teenagers)

Words can't describe how thrilled we are to have Joe teaching our little boy. Such a passionate and wonderful teacher who really knows what he's doing. He is able to captivate the attention of our 6-year-old (not the easiest thing to do). Joe makes learning and playing the violin fun and entertaining. Our little boy goes home and retains everything Joe taught at the end of the day. You can't go wrong with Joe as your teacher.

Violin Lessons (for adults)

Joe is an incredible teacher. He is a fantastic violin player, versed in several styles. He is personable, and very easy to relate to. After getting an assessment of the kinds of things I'd like to be able to do, he has not only build a program catered solely around my needs, but in getting to know me, he has made it a point to articulate concepts in a way that I can best understand them. I can not say enough good things about him. He's awesome.

Violin Lessons (for adults)

One lesson so far, but he's definitely saved me weeks from "bad information" learned on YouTube had I NOT chose to take lessons!

Not only is Joe an incredibly talented and inspiring performer, he is also a very engaging and effective teacher. I have 2 kids--a 12 year old daughter who plays violin and viola and a 10 year old son who plays cello. Both kids love fiddle tunes and I asked Joe if he could give them a few fiddle lessons over the summer to supplement their regular strings lessons. He agreed enthusiastically and we scheduled 4 lessons over a 2 week period. The kids loved him from the beginning and I was amazed at what they learned in just 1 lesson. The first thing he did was chat with the kids for a few minutes to find out what kind of music they like, what their musical goals were, and just get to know them a little. The 3 subsequent lessons were every bit as good. He worked with both kids at the same time, an hour each lesson. He helped them with improvisation, bowing technique, arrangement, melody, and chords, among other things. By the end of the 4th lesson, they had learned how to take a simple tune, create a musical intro and arrange the piece, trading off melody with accompaniment (chords, chops, etc.) They performed the arrangement for me and I was blown away with all they had learned. They had nothing but good things to say about their experience with Joe. Unfortunately for us, Joe now lives in Colorado, so we'll have to wait until next summer for more of his amazing teaching. But, his teaching had such an impact on my kids, it will carry them through! Thanks, Joe!

Solo Musician Entertainment

Joe provided entertainment for our grandmother's ninetieth birthday dinner, which included ten adults. Our group had people of different age groups with diverse taste and levels of music appreciation. Joe truly provided something for everyone and was punctual, professional and personable as well. We so enjoyed having Joe play at our event, and we hope to find an excuse to hire him again! Thank you, Joe, for a truly memorable evening.
