No "heavy item fee", no "stairs fee", no "mileage fee", literally no other fees except hourly rate and truck fee. Minimum order is 2 hours. The owner contacted me and helped resolve the below issue. The movers did a good job until we asked them if they had tools to assemble our furniture (we booked this job with the details of needing furniture assembled). They said they forgot their tools. They then proceeded to tell me I needed to go buy tools for them….Fortunately, after 15 or so minutes of them fiddling around, my father found some tools in the car. They proceeded to try to assemble the furniture w those tools, but it took them way longer than needed bc they did not have the appropriate tools. They were inefficient at assembling and instead of splitting duties, watched each other assemble one at a time….When their required 1.5 was over and it was time to pay, I asked them about a discount and they scoffed in my face. They said it was an accident to not bring their tools. I told them they had to wait around for quite a bit trying to figure out how to assemble the furniture without tools and that they were inefficient w the tools we provided. The supervisor texted me after the job and I told her what happened. She said she’d send me a $50 discount immediately. I followed up a day later, and nothing: she left me on read. One month later, and no discount. Why say you’re going to provide a discount and then ghost?
