My name is Megan and I have been a personal trainer for over 7 years. I have a degree in Exercise Physiology, a degree in Psychology, am a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. I also worked for 2 years as a Physical Therapy Technician. I offer both private personal training as well as private (and small group) yoga sessions. I have gotten many people out of nagging pain and helped them achieve strength goals that they didn't know were possible. I love working with people who are apprehensive about working out and helping them build confidence in the gym. My prices are a little higher than what you might see from other trainers. I charge $125 per session, and this price is a reflection of the abundance of time and energy that I've spent learning about the human body. I started working with Megan back in January when I reached a plateau in my weight loss journey. I have also always struggled with back pain. Through our 3 months together I managed to break my plateau and loose an additional 26 pounds, get stronger overall and learn how to brace my core to eliminate my back pain completely. I am forever grateful for all of Megan’s help and highly recommend her to anyone who may be looking for a coach. Not only is she the sweetest but she truly knows what she’s doing. Thank you Megan!!

Simply put, Megan is wonderful. Not only is she well-informed and educated in the body and anatomy, but is warm, kind, patient, and a great listener. Megan is able to curate a program catered to the individual and is so supportive in reaching goals. She goes the extra mile by following up and checking in on progress as you go along. When I came to her, I had really specific things in mind I wanted to work on. She was able to understand support me in targeting the areas I was interested in addressing. We had so much fun working together, and that’s saying a lot coming from someone who refuses to step foot in the gym and has never really understood the first thing about weights and machines. As an avid yogi, it was so refreshing to try something new, as well as humbling. If you are looking for a trainer, look no further - Megan is your girl. 11/10 highly recommend!

A quick note on my experience with one-on-one coaching with Megan. I am 64 years old, 5’9” and ~200 lbs (moderately overweight), with numerous orthopedic (replacement shoulder and reconstructed foot) and other surgeries that limit my movement and activity, and in constant pain. I’ve started working one-on-one with Megan in Feb ‘21 with a focus on improving flexibility, balance, strength, and aerobic capacity. It has been an excellent experience. Megan did a great job crafting a program to move me from essentially “zero” on the fitness front to a vastly improved status in a short period of time. When I started: - My balance was terrible - e.g. couldn’t stand on one foot for 10 seconds without falling, now doing multiple sets of one-legged Romanian deadlifts on an inclined surface. - My aerobic capacity was very low. In May I completed a 2k row at a significantly improved pace over my initial test in Feb. - While my weight is approximately the same as when I started, it’s clear that there’s been a material shift in composition from fat to muscle - which a number of friends have remarked on. In short, working closely with Megan twice a week over the last 8 weeks, I’ve made rapid progress on all of my original goals, and now move much more easily with a lot less pain. Throughout our time together, Megan has done a great job - she’s been patient and positive, consistently encouraging, pushing the exact right amount to help me make rapid progress. I am leaving to go North for several months, but am very much looking forward to restarting with Megan when I return in the fall.

Megan is probably the only person I’ve ever met in my life that made me excited about a work out. Her ability to draw techniques from multiple disciplines to craft meaningful and challenging routines is unmatched. That coupled with her excellent teaching skills made sessions a consistently positive experience with real progress being made. Add that she is a genuinely a great person to spend an hour of your day with and what else can you ask for in a Coach?

I’ve been working with Megan for about 2 months and have noticed a great improvement in my strength, especially in my legs and balance. It has made a big impact on my day to day life. Megan is kind and encouraging, making modifications as necessary but challenging me to do things outside my comfort zone. I am eager to continue to gain strength!
