Five stars for Stac Fitness as a facility, and its owner, Richard Ruiz.As for Richard -- he is a fantastic trainer. My husband and I have been training with Richard for about six months, and we couldn't be happier. We both really like the fast-paced, high intensity 30 minute sessions because they are incredibly efficient, but equally productive as spending an hour in the gym (arguably more considering recent studies on HIIT exercise). Richard comes prepared, and we never do the same set of exercises between two sessions. And beware skipping sessions...the first one back will be incredibly rough, but well worth it. While it's not "cheap" by any measure, it is certainly more affordable than other personal training facilities in the area (I have tried other gyms, so I say this from experience), AND the sessions are more productive. You're getting bang for your buck here. My only complaint is that Richard never feels bad for me when I whine, and he will make you do burpies no matter how much you protest :). I also do not recommend you make fun of the Jets or the Mets. As for the facility -- Stac Fitness is an excellent gym. It is incredibly clean, not crowded, yet full of really diverse equipment. You can tell a lot of thought when into the planning. Beware the "cage" where you will do his infamous 30-30-15 multiple times; but at least it's got a really great workout floor and floor-length mirrors to watch yourself sweat and grunt in. All of the trainers there are really nice and knowledgeable, so even if you couldn't get in with Richard because of timing, you could work with literally anyone there and be more than happy. All in all, if you're considering personal training in the Denver area, this is hands down the best option.

I was invited to join in on a training session by a friend who has been working out with Richard for the past 12 years, when my 4th child was just 7 weeks old. After surviving my first workout, I was hooked. Richard is a motivating trainer that has pushed me beyond what I would have thought I was capable of and definitely further than I would have ever pushed myself. I'm so excited about the amazing results I have obtained so far, they definitely keep me coming back for more. Richard is incredibly flexible with his schedule and the safe, effective and challenging 30 minute high intensity workouts are perfect for my busy lifestyle. He is extremely knowledgable in the fields of exercise and overall health and wellness and is just the type of person I needed to hold me accountable and push me when it comes to my fitness. I would highly recommend Richard and STAC fitness to friends and family of all ages and fitness levels. The results speak for themselves.

Personal Training
Richard was professional and extremely responsive with setting up a personal workout routine for my daughter who is visiting from Europe. After a couple of emails and a phone call Richard had her two week personal training session planned!

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Don't go into this bargain hunting. You'll get what you pay for. Ask yourself "Shouldn't the best investment and monet spent ne on my health a d wellness?" And what actual frivolous or impulse buys have I made in the past?
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically do a complimentaty consult to see what the clients needs and concerns are. After this the process evolves into whether we are a good match for the task at hand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm a "Master Level Trainer" a few times over, meaning I have well over 10,000 hrs of one on one training logged in. The certifications and media coverage on my training are too numerous to answer here.
