Introduction: I am fortunate enough to be in a field with some crazy-talented individuals. I am constantly inspired by other's work, but I feel my work stands out because of my passion for storytelling. My journalistic approach to photography makes my work - your photos! - as unique as you are! My absolute-most favorite part of my job is getting to know people. Building relationships with clients who become friends and family to me. It's an honor to capture someone's engagement, and then their wedding...and then their babies! I get to watch couples become families - how cool is that?!

I have used a few different photographers for my families pictures, but Kate is by far my favorite. She is great with kids and made me feel like she genuinely cared about my family and the photos that resulted from the session. She really knows how to make the backdrop/lighting/accessories, etc. work together to make fantastic pictures. I will admire these pictures for the rest of my life, and will continue to go back to her anytime I need a family photo session!

I stay up do date with current trends by attending online Creative Live courses.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom and uncle are professional photographers. I studied Interior Design in college to learn all about space, balance, composition, and LIGHT! I was inspired to follow my passion when my own wedding photos turned out to be a disappointment!
