Introduction: Druidawn Creations is a full-service language arts tutoring and mentoring company that specializes in learning disabilities, giftedness, and children who lack motivation to get words onto paper. We also offer online creative writing clubs to students all over the world who wish to connect with imaginative/creative friends and participate in the Druidawn creative writing motivation system.
We use a highly effective role playing game to get children excited about writing, and we publish student stories in our Druidawn anthology series which can be purchased at Amazon.com. We cater to children with all learning styles, and we use creative means to help them achieve their highest abilities.

Druidawn as a writing program, and Miriam as a teacher, have brought my dyslexic/dysgraphic son from being barely able to output a single coherent sentence three years ago (and being stressed, shut down, and resistant), to happily writing hundreds - sometimes thousands - of words per week. He has come to love writing, is completely self-motivated, has grown in confidence and ability, and it is completely due to Druidawn. I can't imagine where he would be if we hadn't found this program - it has been tremendous for him. The program itself is brilliant for kids like this, and Miriam and Cara are incredibly kind, encouraging, and fun. They really get our kids, and the kids can tell.

I have used three services from Miriam Darnell. First, I ran a Druidawn writing club (more below) based on her program. Then I asked Miriam to run one for my son and friends. The I hired her to tutor my younger son.
It was FABULOUS! Writing would cause my son to break down and cry. The D & D - like nature of Miriam's program inspired my fantasy-loving son to break through his obstacles independently and start to write freely. Now, those struggles are gone and he wants to write well. He even asked to go to a writing camp!!
My older son is learning to write later than I would have liked. That's because his school, with its emphasis on journals and feelings and self-examination, turned him off to it. Miriam's writing club taps into boys' love of adventure and gives them something to write about.

A brilliant tutor and writer, she really inspired me to write stories and I have now published one and working on a second. Even better the lessons are really fun. You (or your child) can become a good author in so short a time I would not think is possible.

My son, who has difficulty with writing, joined a Druidawn Writing Club. He absolutely loves it! It has inspired him to write beautiful, creative fantasy stories. That has given him the confidence to write in otherstyles as well. I'm a big fan!

Our son was a very reluctant writer. After he started working with Miriam and Cara in the Druidawn Creative Writing Club he gained so much enthusiasm to write. This program is genius. Miriam and Cara are patient, extremely creative, enthusiastic, and seem to be able to read the participants and meet them just where they are. I have seen them lead groups in various settings and with different kids; they always somehow can tune into just what that child is about, know how to communicate with them, form a bond, and work with them to nurture the student's love of writing and adventure. I highly recommend any program that Miriam and Cara create.
