Min and his team were awesome from the quoting process to the move itself. The quote estimate right on point. They arrived on time (a little early in fact!), they were quick but vert careful with everything. They made the already stressful job of moving 2000+ miles seamless and easy. Could not recommend enough! Best experience on Thumbtack yet.

What can't I say about the amazing team at Dirty Deeds? This company is great to work with from start to finish. The wonderful customer service starts with Stefani (the officer manager & owner) who completed our quote in person (if you're lucky enough to work with her before she goes out on maternity leave... Well that is it in a nutshell, you're lucky!). Stefani was responsive to all the questions I peppered at her. Then she came to our home in order to complete an onsite estimate, which was reassuring to me to know they knew exactly what would be involved in the move. In trying to guesstimate how many boxes it would take to move us, she was able to help us estimate that as well. Our closing date changed, which affected our moving date. Stefani was accommodating and understand, while giving us multiple options for available dates to move around our new closing date. Then she called the night before our move to verify the team would be at the house and at a specific timeframe. On the day of our move, we had 6 very energetic & friendly movers, including Jeremy the owner (Stefani's husband). From the moment they stepped foot into our home, they each introduced themselves, shook our hands, asked for a tour of the house and were grabbing boxes during the tour. They were very professional and handled our belongings with care. There was one small ding on a corner of our wall (which was very easy to repair) and the one mover kept apologized throughout the day about it. The moulding of my desk was accidently cracked during the move, Jeremy immediate advised me of it, apologized and said they would fix when they returned 2 days later, which they did! Finally due to all the chaos around our closing, I forgot to have a pod delivered prior to moving day for the guys to empty for us at our new home. Stefani (again being very understanding, flexible, & accommodating) helped us schedule 2 guys to come back 2 days later to empty the pod when it was delivered. When the guys came back to empty the pod & fix my desk, it was at no charge due to the cracked moulding. This was their way of saying they were sorry, above and beyond of what they had already said in person. This was very unexpected! Because of this our move came in slightly less than quoted, and due this team being so efficient and hard working. They were very pleasant & easy to work with! I would refer any & everyone to them! While I hate moving with a passion, Dirty Deeds Moving Co. makes it much easier! Thank you!

Stephen quoted the job at 8 hours with 2 trucks and 4 guys....they did it in 7.5 hours! Had a couple minor mishaps but Justin stood behind his word and took care of things at the end of the job. The guys worked hard and did a good job! Especially for moving a house lived in for 16 years!!! (Other companies quoted way less time and 1 truck --way off!) Glad I used these guys. Based on overall experience I would recommend these guys. Isaac

Juan and his team were not only on time but even a few minutes early for our big moving day. We had a LOT of furniture and boxes to move, and Juan and his team worked tirelessly the whole day--making what should have been a stressful day much less overwhelming and more enjoyable. His team was friendly and professional--they took great care of our belongings and our new home, while at the same time working quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Juan and his team at Pro Movers LLC. I hope I don't have to move again for a really long time, but if I do, we'll definitely hire them again.

I worked with Edward and his team moving my 3 bed 2 bath house same day. Packing and moving. He and his team were extremely professional and amazingly thorough. Everything was transported to the new home safely. They even put our large items where we wanted them, and made sure everything was working properly. Anything that needed to be disassembled was put back together perfectly. I would highly recommend his team to anyone looking for moving services, packing services, or cleaning services. Very polite, very professional, and all around fun guys to be around.

Because my daughter lives in another state and works very, very long hours, I wanted to lessen the pain of moving to a new apartment by paying for a mover to pack and move her possessions to the new apartment. Mario was extremely courteous on the phone and offered me options that I found appealing. After my phone conversation discussing the estimated service and costs, Mario sent a follow-up of the moving costs in an email which I forwarded to my daughter. The movers arrived on time on the designated day. My daughter informed me that they were very respectful, efficient and conscientious about all of the items in her apartment. She was moved in less time than originally allotted at a cost less than the estimate. She said that Mario called her after the move to solicit feedback, which she says "was a cherry on top of an already impressive experience." My daughter may be moving again in about a year, and informed me that she would certainly contact EZ Moving for this move. My daughter says she would definitely recommend EZ Moving to her friends.

I've been looking for weeks to hire someone to move an old heavy, 300 pound juke box. It was a half hour job, moving less than a mile away including 1 flight of steps. All I heard from everyone was $400 dollars, we have a 2 hour minimum, good luck no one will move your juke box for less than $250. For a half hour work, that made no sense. I was lucky to run into Scott and Brian, 2 strong guys with a great work ethic, that own White Buffalo Logistics! They did it for less than half of the $250! It was a hard job and they didn't complain a bit. If you keep hearing sorry no one does a move for less than 2 hours minimum, don't buy it! Scott and Brian specialize in whatever move you need! They are pros and I'm glad I met them, you will be too! White Buffalo Logistics!

I just moved from Dallas to Englewood. Drove the Penske truck myself for 15 hours. By the time I hit Colorado I was dead. These guys saved me and unloaded the truck. They were friendly, courteous, and they were extremely careful with my belongings. I just finished unpacking and everything is in the exact condition as it was when I left Texas. This was well worth the money spent. If you are in the area that they service and need help moving, then you need to speak with Broc first. He is the owner and a great guy. Any moves from here on out I am only calling these guys. Best service I have experienced with movers. I 100% recommend this company.

My movers just left and requested a review as quickly as possible. I assured them that I would provide then with a 10 out of 5 star rating. Most importantly, the young men were respectful to my husband and I. I am 67 years old so I was on the young men from start to finish - making sure they were respectful of my belongings and home. They wrapped all of my furniture and assisting with packing items that were not packed upon their arrival. I did notice a small hole in the wall at the pick up address. Tight corners so I did not complain. But I did want them to know that I noticed. Other than that, my belongings arrived in great shape. I will recommend to my friend Margaret who will be moving in about 2 weeks. I informed her to request Mark and Stephen. Thanks again for your hard work. Spend your tip wisely.

I hired Sun City Muscle Movers on 8/1/2017. They were great to work with. Houston which is the owner was actually on the move along with another guy named Daniel. I couldn't believe that the owner was actually at my house assisting with my move. I told him that was very rare. I moved a couple times in the last past years and the owners I dealt with wouldn't give a hand or two nor come out and assist with my previous moves. He knew what he was doing when it came to packing up my house. My husband and I were very happy during and after the move was completed. Thank you, Sun City Muscle Movers. Keep up the great work!

      What do moving companies do?

Moving companies provide a range of services to help you physically move out of one residence and move into a new place. But moving companies can do so much more than just haul your belongings across town in a truck. The national average for moving company prices ($250-$350 per hour) reflects the range of services provided. Here are examples of all the ways moving companies can help:

      • Packing: Moving companies can pack your belongings for you. They typically charge a flat rate for both the box and the labor to pack the box. The more time-consuming the belongings are to pack, the higher the cost per box. For example, books could be $5 per box, linens $10 per box, and fine china and glassware $18 per box.
      • Specialty moving: Safely move a baby grand piano, a oversize aquarium, or other specialty items with the help of pro movers.
      • Storage: Many moving companies can store your belongings while you wait for a new home to be remodeled or closing of your new home to be finalized. If you’re moving long-distance, they often provide short-term storage free for a specific length of time, and a set rate after that (such as $60 per square cubic foot of storage space used).
      • Long-distance moves: No need to rent a trailer and move your things; a long-distance moving company can haul your belongings across the country for you. Typically they charge by the cubic foot for moves, with prices based on your destination.
      • Unpacking: Moving companies can even unpack your belongings for you after they have moved them. This is not as common, and will definitely increase the price, but can be helpful if you’re not able to tackle this task yourself.

How much does a moving company charge per hour?

When you’re ready to make a major move, it’s time to research moving companies’ prices. A moving company may charge on average anywhere between $25 and $100 per hour, per worker, for moving services. The price will vary with regional labor rates, local cost to do business, and the level of service the movers are providing. Nationally, the average hourly rate for a moving company is $250-$350 per hour. This price includes a range of pricing, from all-in service with four or more movers on site to standard hourly rates for one or two movers. Other factors that affect moving companies’ prices are packing, stairs (or elevators), and distance. For a full-service move, you pay movers to pack your belongings for you. You may pay for the cost of the moving boxes and an hourly rate per worker, and there may be additional charges for packing fragile items. Stairs will also add to your moving prices. Lifting and carrying boxes and furniture up and down stairs takes more time and creates more physical labor for the workers. Moving companies may charge flat rates for flights of stairs, such as $50-$70 per flight. A moving company may also charge a one-time fee for moving things via elevator, such as $75-$100. If parking is not accessible in front of your home or apartment building, there may also be an additional fee for the added distance to carry your belongings to the truck.

How much does it cost for long-distance movers?

Long-distance movers transport your belongings across the country for you. No more renting a trailer and road-tripping from state to state with your entire house hitched to your bumper. Long-distance movers make the move happen so you can fly to your new home, suitcase in hand, and wait for your furniture to arrive. Nationally, the average price range for long-distance movers is $1,490-$2,230. The distance you are moving and the number of cubic feet the movers have to transport will both affect cost. Another factor in long-distance moving costs is whether you choose to pay for an exclusive move or a consolidated move.

In an exclusive move, which is more expensive, your belongings are the only cargo on the moving truck. The movers travel directly to your new house and deliver your belongings on a scheduled day. A consolidated move is more affordable because the movers transport your belongings along with those of other people, saving them time and gas — which means you save money. The downside is that your belongings typically arrive with a two-week delivery window rather than on a prescheduled day. Read reviews to make sure you can trust the company with your possessions to ensure a peaceful moving process.

How much does it cost to move a one-bedroom apartment across the country?

Professional movers can handle the hard work of moving your one-bedroom apartment across the country for you. You can determine what your move will cost by learning the rate your movers charge per cubic foot and how they factor distance into the total cost. Cross-country movers typically charge based on your belongings rather than apartment size because that determines how much work they will have to do. For example, a studio apartment that is crammed full of things will take more work and moving truck space than the contents of a three-bedroom apartment with very little furniture.

Cross-country movers may also have varying rates, depending on where in the country you are moving. For example, a company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. A one-bedroom apartment costs approximately $1,500 to move across the country.

How much does it cost to move across the country?

The national average cost for hiring cross-country movers is $1,490-$2,220. A number of factors can affect the cost. One factor is the distance you want to move. For example, an East Coast-based moving company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. Another factor is how many belongings you have. Most cross-country movers charge by the cubic foot.

The type of move you want is another consideration in cost. You can have your belongings moved exclusively and delivered on a set day, or you can opt for a consolidated move, which is less expensive. In a consolidated move your belongings are stored and transported with the goods of other customers who are moving to your general vicinity during the same general time frame as you. Your belongings should arrive within a one- to two-week window, rather than on a set day. If you want the cross-country movers to pack your belongings for you, the cost will also increase.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
