- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not do hourly as that in my opinion is a fraunet way of doing business, we do a lumpsum fee so you know what you project will cost. And we guruntee tha tour documents will get you a permit. Other Architects who do hourly fees continue to chage you for thier services even throuhg the permit review process, meening of they do a nad job with thier plans they can get paid more, this is unethical by my standards. Our pricing is transparent, competitive, and designed to deliver real value. We work directly with trusted consultants to keep costs fair without compromising on quality. Prices reflect the materials, compatibility, and performance of each project—there are no hidden fees, and what you see is what you pay. We also regularly offer special discounts, to help you get the best project documents at the best value.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is designed to be collaborative, transparent, and efficient from start to finish. Initial Consultation We begin with a conversation to understand your vision, goals, budget, timeline, and site conditions. This helps us align expectations and determine the best approach for your project. Proposal & Scope Definition Based on our discussion, we prepare a detailed proposal outlining the project scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees. Once approved, we formalize the agreement and move forward. Concept Design We develop initial design concepts, layouts, and massing studies that reflect your needs, style, and functional requirements. Your feedback is essential at this stage. Design Development The chosen concept is refined with detailed plans, materials, systems, and coordination with engineers or consultants as needed. Permitting & Approvals We prepare and submit drawings for required permits and approvals, working with local authorities to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Construction Documentation We produce comprehensive construction drawings and specifications that contractors can accurately price and build from. Construction Support During construction, we remain involved to answer questions, review submittals, and help ensure the design intent is carried through to completion. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring 48 years of hands-on experience in the architectural field, supported by formal education, continuous professional development, and decades of practical application. My background includes professional architectural education focused on design, construction methods, building systems, and code compliance. Over the course of my career, I have continually expanded my expertise through ongoing training in evolving building codes, materials, construction technologies, and sustainability practices. In addition to formal education, my training has been shaped by nearly five decades of real-world project experience across a wide range of building types. This includes direct collaboration with engineers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, allowing me to stay current with industry standards and best practices. I remain committed to lifelong learning, regularly updating my knowledge to reflect changes in design software, permitting processes, and construction techniques. This combination of education, continuous training, and extensive field experience ensures that every project benefits from both proven principles and modern solutions.
