Dog training type
Better manners dog trainer contacted me immediately and gave me a lot of information on his services and why he thinks they're are value. I will probably hire him to train my dog I'm just working out a time frameMar 27, 2018Verified
We just started with this relationship with Better Manners Dog Training but are extremely hopeful and impressed so far!Apr 20, 2018Verified
Pete is fabulous! Great instructions and leadership. It has only been a week since we started but I really think this training will make a great difference in my relationship with both of my dogs.Feb 2, 2018Verified
Pete is an excellent trainer. Even though, with previous dogs, we have been through several types of training. Having Pete in the home he shows us real world ways to train our Samoyed puppy in such a way as she doesn't forget what she learned as soon as she leaves the trainer's premise. Highly recommend Better Manners for any dog training needs.Mar 22, 2018Verified
I feel like he understands our dog and more importantly, how to train US to relate to him! Looking forward to working together over the next several months so that Charlie feels comfortable and "at home!"Oct 17, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing varies based upon the number of dogs to be trained and the level of service the customer needs. We generally don't offer a one size fits all approach as every situation is different and everyones budget is not the same. I work with my customers to choose the appropriate level of service to address their needs. The larger packages of lessons reduces the potential cost per session down to under $65 per session. The smallest package drives the cost to $175. per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We discuss goals and procedures by telephone before beginning. Once a decision has been made to move forward, an appointment is schedule to begin training. On the first appointment I assess the dog in the home environment and begin the education process for the humans and dogs. At the conclusion of the first appointment a follow up session will be scheduled at an interval to be determined by the amount of progress achieved and the severity of the concerns being addressed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelors degree and have been training dogs and their humans since 2001. I have studied many of the trainers in the industry from Roger Abrantes to Sophia Yin.
