We have had our first training with Pete and our puppy, Tucker! I’m feeling energized and confident our pup will be a good, obedient dog because of the instructions from Pete! We still have more sessions and all the support we could ask for! I definitely recommend!Jul 25, 2020VerifiedBetter Manners Dog Training's reply

This guy is fantastic! He really knows his stuff and dogs. In an hour and a half we learned so much and have already seen a change in our dogs. Can’t wait for the next couple month.Oct 11, 2020VerifiedBetter Manners Dog Training's reply
Thanks Penni! It was a pleasure meeting all of you yesterday. I look forward to working with you and helping get your dogs to be the great companions we know they can be. Pete

Pete’s first visit with our dog made a world of difference. On top of that, he was available for consultation when I called him, or he got back to me in a speedy manner. I highly recommend Better Manners’ servicesJun 19, 2020VerifiedBetter Manners Dog Training's reply

Better manners dog trainer contacted me immediately and gave me a lot of information on his services and why he thinks they're are value. I will probably hire him to train my dog I'm just working out a time frameMar 27, 2018Verified

Pete is an excellent trainer. Even though, with previous dogs, we have been through several types of training. Having Pete in the home he shows us real world ways to train our Samoyed puppy in such a way as she doesn't forget what she learned as soon as she leaves the trainer's premise. Highly recommend Better Manners for any dog training needs.Mar 22, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing varies based upon the number of dogs to be trained and the level of service the customer needs. We generally don't offer a one size fits all approach as every situation is different and everyones budget is not the same. I work with my customers to choose the appropriate level of service to address their needs. The larger packages of lessons reduces the potential cost per session down to under $65 per session. The smallest package drives the cost to $175. per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We discuss goals and procedures by telephone before beginning. Once a decision has been made to move forward, an appointment is schedule to begin training. On the first appointment I assess the dog in the home environment and begin the education process for the humans and dogs. At the conclusion of the first appointment a follow up session will be scheduled at an interval to be determined by the amount of progress achieved and the severity of the concerns being addressed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelors degree and have been training dogs and their humans since 2001. I have studied many of the trainers in the industry from Roger Abrantes to Sophia Yin.
