I have been working with Kyle for about 2 months, and she has been great. I came to see her after unsuccessfully attempting to move forward in a relationship where trust had been broken. She helped me come up with specific strategies and tools to sort through my negative thought patterns regarding the situation. She is very knowledgeable, direct and compassionate which I have found extremely helpful with this situation. I would definitely recommend Kyle as a counselor to help work through relationship or other issues when you just haven't been successful on your own.
Experienced and qualified, but more importantly warm and caring counselors who make you feel at ease. The free consultation is also a great way to meet the counselor and understand marriage counseling before you commit your time and money.
My experience with Ted at Alpha Counseling was incredible. I learned so many tools to help me in my personal life and in my relationships that will be beneficial for many years to come. Ted is patient, kind and compassionate. I never felt judged at any time. I would highly recommend Ted at Alpha Counseling for any life experience that may be getting in the way of living!
I had a couple of therapy sessions with Mauricio. He is very patient and knowledgable in what he is doing. I highly recommend him to any one seeking counseling help.
Mr Anderson was a fantastic marriage counselor! My wife and I are doing better now and a lot of it was because of the things he made us talk about together that we were avoiding. He helped us to talk about the things we were avoiding in ways that were comfortable so that we could fix them. He pushed us at times but not in an angry or aggressive ways. He made us work which was good for us. His office was easy to find and the building is nice. Parking was pretty easy too . The close spots were usually all gone (aren't they always) but there were spots close enough that it wasn't a pain to walk.
I have known Liza for several years. She had been our family, marriage, parenting, individual, therapist for a couple of those years. Her down to earth, practical, solid biblical approach to her active therapy style was truly a God send for us. We had been through a few other counselors over the course of 10 years. Liza was able to establish what our families needs were, and was able to teach us the tools we needed to build up our parenting skills and help us with a deeper understanding of our marriage structure in a year and a half. Liza touched on things that were never brought up before and really had us doing some internal work and walking some roads that were hard but very effective. The skills and knowledge that we gained from our experience with her are are really priceless and such a deep blessing. Granted, our family was willing to do the work, but she guided us with Gods word the whole way through. I would highly recommend her to you. Her gift of empathy truly spoke to our hearts and helped us through the hardest most traumatizing events in our lives. My family was able to heal and come out of this stronger and more solid then we had prayed for.

I have been meeting with Ilsa for about two and a half years. She has been a huge part of my personal growth. I have seen a few therapists in my life, and she is by far been the most help to me. She has taken a lot of time and care in getting to know me, and has always gone an extra mile for me mental health. I don't think I would be where I'm at today without her help. I have already recommended her to friends, and will continue to wholeheartedly do so.
Lisa is a good listener, very positive and interested in helping the whole family.
Meredith is a gifted counselor whom I have already recommended to numerous people. I have worked with her for over a year and have found her to be highly qualified as well as easy to relate to and talk to. She has a wide range of experience and expertise and is deeply compassionate.
I worked with Nina to gain further confidence in the professional/career setting. I had never talked to anyone before, and so I was a little hesitant, and thought I was going to talk to her for the rest of my life. I quickly made a connection with Nina as she was extremely welcoming and friendly. Although I had talked to my family and friends, Nina had given me the tools I needed to change my way of thinking and realize what my success were allowing me to feel more comfortable in my role and giving me the ability to succeed. I started seeing Nina on a bi-weekly basis for the first couple of months (4-6), and then we tapered of to about once a month (3-4), and now I will reach out in case anything drastic happens, and need another sounding board. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to go in and chat with Nina.
I must admit I was initially skeptical about the idea of couples counseling to begin with- I had a few previous experiences with mediators and counselors that left me feeling misunderstood and like it was a waste of my time. This was definitely NOT the case without Andrew. He was kind, understanding, and was able to cut to the heart of our issues almost immediately and help us to really talk to one another about how we felt. He also gave us homework which was easy to implement and has made a world of difference already- I highly recommend!
I have started meeting with Anne and it has already helped me a lot. She is knowledgeable and kind, never do you feel judged even if you start out relatively uncomfortable. She walks you through breathing tactics, and seems very experienced in helping with depression and anxiety. I believe she will continue to be a great counselor for me and someone that truly will make a difference in my life.
Tracy started working with my daughter about a 1 1/2 year ago. When Tracy first started my daughter had poor self-esteem and confidence issues, or so I thought. She would sleep all of the time, had poor grades at school (D and F student) and was constantly struggling with many of the issues that high school and being a teenage girl can present. My daughter had been extremely abused by her birth mother in what has been described as "the worst abuse that I have heard of in my 26 years of being a counselor!" Long story short because of Tracy's skill and compassion my daughter now has a 3.5 GPA!!! My daughter is thriving, happy and looking forward to a bright future!!! As we wrapped up a session a few weeks ago she thanked Tracy for saving her life. She then went onto explain that until her counseling with Tracy that she was obsessed with and was actively planning on taking her life. What a blow!!!!! I was clueless and here she saved my little girls life!!!! I will sing her praises as long and loud as I can!!! Because of Tracy's skill, understanding, compassion, hard work and follow through my daughters life has been transformed. She now is all smiles, vibrant, glowing and excited about life and her future. While we know that there is still much work to be done, we have been taught the skills and methods to work through issues as they come to the surface in the future. How can we ever repay her? Sincerely, Clueless Dad
My daughter and I have been counseling with Sharon for about two years. She has helped my daughter cope with anxiety over a narcissistic father. Sharon has encouraged my daughter to write a book about tips for kids/parents that go through a divorce. Sharon counsels in a way that makes you feel very comfortable to share. She speaks with truth, compassion, and sincerity. She's a great encourager and you feel empowered to handle any situation after a session!
George MacIlwinen is the Horse Whisperer of young adults struggling to find their footing in their transition to adulthood. Our son had a history of difficult medical problems in childhood that prevented him from achieving developmental milestones and left him as an anxious young adult, depressed, over-medicated and isolated. Over the years we ran through many therapists and programs and our son had grown skeptical of their effectiveness. All that changed when we met George MacIlwinen. George's contributions to our son's life and our family's life are so extensive, it would take pages to catalog them. First and foremost, George understood our son like no one had before, he understood the trauma that our son had experienced and the gaps in his development. Most important, he saw our son's potential and his prospects for a good future. Therapeutically, George is a creative and independent thinker. He has an over-arching philosophy, but within that he is adaptive. For our son he followed a holistic approach incorporating experiential therapy and psychotherapy together with a strong emphasis on healthy life habits including reduced medications, physical fitness and diet. He has also been especially proactive in helping our son develop social skills. Personally, George is calm, empathetic and friendly. He's genuine with an easy smile. He is an excellent listener; he's insightful. George models the healthy behavioral habits that he advocates. He's a natural mentor and educator and has provided invaluable counseling and guidance to our son and to us. George MacIlwinen is an amazing therapist. Meeting him has been one of the single best things that has ever happened to our family. It's a great pleasure to recommend him to you.
I consider myself truly blessed to have had Whitney Steele as my primary therapist. When I met Whitney, I was in the lowest of lows in my eating disorder - I was scared, hopeless, and in denial. But she never gave up on me. Right away she validated all of the feelings I had been stuffing down in the secrecy of my eating disorder, and helped me understand where my fear of eating came from. While working with Whitney, I discovered things about myself I never knew. She helped me process the journey I'd been on while pushing me toward recovery and my true self. Whitney continually guided and supported me: laughing with me on the good days and letting me cry on the bad ones. I am so thankful for all she's done for me and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of help.
