Handyman
installation went well but we noticed that the dimmer was getting very hot and Mr. Handyman did not know how to resolve the issue. We had to call another electrician that solved the problem - the dimmer switch did not have a high enough voltage for the new light.

Deck or Porch Remodel or Addition
Terrible communication and OK quality I recently had a project done by Mr. Handyman. It was supposed to be a very simple and inexpensive ramp off of my deck for my older dogs to be able to walk up and down. During initial discussions, there were two options for materials (with one being more expensive than the other) and I made it clear that we didn't want the cost to go up significantly with the more expensive material and would be fine with the cheaper option. The initial quote for materials was 100-200 for the cheaper option and 200-300 for the more expensive material. Handyman showed up and took measurements and I talked to him about what we wanted. Once the job was complete, the invoice was for almost twice what we expected and agreed to! Material costs were $570. Good customer service would have called from the store to make sure we wanted to move ahead with the project with the higher cost, but they never called or gave us any reason to think it would cost that much more! The job itself as OK. The handyman himself was very nice and the ramp was CLOSE to what we wanted - not quite gradual enough or non-slick enough for my dogs to go up and down safely. The first step I took in the ramp I slipped and fell! I had to go out immediately and spend another $100+ to make it safe for us to use. This was pretty close to being a complete waste of time and money (over $1,400!! for what was supposed to be simple and functional) On top of all of that, the first time I called after the project to pay the invoice (but dispute the total cost), I was told a manager would get back to me AND I have called 3-4 more times since and left messages with no response. This has been 3+ weeks now and no response, only 2 invoices in the mail. I would not use or recommend this service unless they get their communication skills in order...

I had a complicated work order to fill, and Jason Roth did a great job! He understood what I wanted to have done, and completed it with skill, creativity, and attention to detail. He's also a really nice guy. Really enjoyed having him in our house. The office staff is also friendly and professional. Highly recommend this company!
