- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner: In 1998 during a yoga teacher training in Pokhara, Nepal, Heidi met a local Ayurvedic physician. He recommended a few changes to Heidi's diet and lifestyle as well as gave her herbal preparations. After experiencing the benefits of Ayurvedic medicine, Heidi developed deep respect and a great passion for Ayurveda. Yoga Therapy: Yoga therapy has helped Heidi a lot growing up since she was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 13. Through yogic exercises, Heidi was able to prevent having to wear a brace for 22 hours a day. Instead she has a strong and flexible back today and can enjoy life. Tibetan Cranial: When Heidi first heard of Tibetan Cranial, she had no idea what this modality was about. When listening to Shar, the Master Teacher, sharing her story about how she found one of the last living monks from Tibet practicing this work in Kathmandu, Heidi was drawn to learn more. After experiencing Tibetan Cranial, she felt a strong heart connection with the work and went through her apprenticeship to become a practitioner.
