Nicole was outstanding! She helped our son raise his composite ACT score from a 20 to a 27 in only 7 weeks! As a senior, this was our son's last chance to raise his ACT score. Prior to the April test, we had enrolled him in 16 weeks of group classes; His math score only increased 1 point and reading increased 2. In less than half the time and for about half the money, Nicole helped AJ increase math by 7, reading and science by 8, and English by 5. She tailored the lessons to AJ's background and learning style. Her approachable manner and disarming personality immediately put AJ at ease -making it easier for him to learn. Nicole made herself available to answer questions at ALL times, day or night, which was unbelievably helpful! She is extraordinarily knowledgeable about both the ACT and new SAT. Regarding the entire college application process, she is a wealth of information and advice! We were so lucky that she was able to fit AJ into her packed schedule, and we will be forever grateful for everything she did for him and us!
Miriam and Cara provide the best writing classes I have ever come across. They provide an unbelievably creative and safe atmosphere where all students are comfortable expressing themselves. The students I am familiar with who have taken their classes have gone as far as from non-writers to writing long elaborate stories happily. I have never seen any other writing instructors able to create such magic.
Donny has been a client of mine for over 16 years. After knowing his amazing abilities with children of all ages and all of the achievements and awards for his outstanding teaching skills I new my daughter would be in the hands of only the best! My daughter was failing all three of her main subjects in 7th grade, math, science, and government economics. There was only 3 weeks left till semester was over and Donny was a life saver for my daughter Shayla. He not only gave her new ways to understand things but taught her how to learn and have fun while learning. He caught on right away that she struggled with focusing and he knew exactly what to do to keep her attention. I would not only recommend him for tutoring for your children but even adults! His knowledge will truly captivate you and his personality will keep you coming back for more! Keep up the hard work Donny, there are so many that need you out there!
Mr. Barraza has been my teacher for a couple of years. I took guitar classes with him in high school. He is just outstanding in all the work he does. The dedication he would give me as well as every other student would go above and beyond expectation. He is a very intelligent, noble, and caring person. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, and his thirst for knowledge is insatiable, so whether you want to study music, Spanish, math, reading, writing etc. Mr. Barraza would a great choice for you, truly a great teacher for all ages.
Jody was able to help my daughter so much in math and reading. Pammy was not reading well at all! I liked that Jody uses phonics to teach reading. I know Pammy was not getting phonics in school and it showed in her reading skills. Pammy is reading with very good comprehension and fluency! I am so proud! Jody started Pammy at a level she knew very well. The difficulty slowly increased and now Pammy is above grade level and is taking advanced math classes. We strongly encourage parents to contact Jody about tutoring their children. You won't go wrong. I guarantee it!
My daughter was 2 years behind in math. She was receiving assistance at school but wasn't making any progress so I found AR. After three months of weekly sessions my daughters confidence has grown by leaps and bounds and homework is no longer a fight. "I'm too stupid for math!" has been replaced by "Look what I did!". I have recommended AR to multiple friends whose children also struggle with math or reading and recommend her to anyone who wants their child to improve in either reading, writing or math.
Liz is focused, thoughtful, effective, and incredibly experienced. After a full career as a elementary-school teacher and reading specialist, she now offers one-on-one tutoring for young readers, and we're so happy that she does! It's a great value for the money, too, and a great investment in our kids.
Chad at Success4Life Tutoring has been fantastic. Our 5th grade son needed some extra help with math and reading, and we were referred to Chad at Success4Life. He was able to start working with our son immediately, and we and our son's teacher have seen drastic changes in our son's confidence, as well as in his abilities. He is doing much better, and this is due to him working with Chad. Chad is great at building a good rapport and he is calm and patient. He has all the necessary education and experience to tutor students, and he is easy to work with. We look forward to him continuing to tutor our son for the remainder of the school year and we now have a tutor that can help with the rest of our children if needed.
Damon has been writing and editing for the Terry Southern Literary Trust for many years, and has always been responsive and shown great attention to detail. Whether it has been manuscript preparation, proof-reading, copy-editing, research or letter writing, Damon has consistently gone above and beyond my expectations, even though I've come to expect top quality work from him. I'd highly recommend him for any writing, editing, resumes, copy-editing--he can get the job done, and get it done well, and on-time!
Mr. Morse is an excellent tutor. I have an eleventh grader that struggles with reading comprehension and writing. Mr. Morse started tutoring for us with very short notice and even read the book my nephew is reading in class, almost completely, by the first session (with only hours to prep). He has definitely helped my nephew understand what he is reading by relating it to what he knows and loves, (football, current events, etc) and inspires him to write better. Apprehensive at first, my nephew now looks forward to meeting with Mr. Morse and has a new found respect for language arts. We are fortunate he came along and glad we made the call. Thank you Mr. Morse, it is always a pleasure.

I am looking for odd jobs, as well as tutoring for reading and writing, as that is what I am currently attending school for. I plan on getting my degree to teach high school English, reading and writing. I am currently tutoring students at CCD in our writing center. I also consider myself a very handyman. I have worked for Denver Public Schools for over a year as an assistant to the plumbers, and I have also worked in the irrigation department within maintenance. I have worked countless summers with Cichos Construction on most everything like laying concrete, installing hardwood floors, removing shingles from the roof and everything in between.
