Introduction: As an owner-operated business, I have a lower overhead which allows me to concentrate fully on the quality of the work being done, rather than jumping from project to project. Quality is how I place value on what I do. Handymen by definition do everything around the house. We repair most everything, which translates to doing different things on a daily basis. Like another review I've seen, I'd give Kelly two scores: a 5 for for the finished product but a 3 based on problems that cropped up. Kelly repaired a long drywall crack in my living room wall. Kelly wasn't able to finish the repair during the first appointment because apparently the room was too cold. (I would have gladly warmed it up if he'd said anything.) He didn't show up for the second appointment. When I texted him to find how why he was late, he replied with "Didn't you get my text? I can't make it." It was another week before he was able to return. He nearly finished the work, only to run out of spray texture. I paid him and finished the texturing myself. I am quite happy with the results but not the process.

As with any business, things sometimes come up at the last minute. I called Ms. Yellowchan ahead of time to inform her that I needed to reschedule and she was okay with it. We did the best we could to accommodate this client.

I called Kelly to put up a shelf in my daughters room, and to tighten a loose towel rack and curtain tieback. I am very picky about who I let into my home and expect great customer service. I was thrilled that Kelly arrived when he said he would, did the work as if it were no big deal, and even went above and beyond when he noticed another loose towel rack that I had forgotten about. He reminded me of an old friend comfortable, friendly and funny. Bringing Vickie along is an nice bonus for women who are home alone and reticent to have a stranger in the house (and don't have attack dogs like I do). I will definitely hire Kelly again. And I'm just kidding about the attack dogs. Mostly.

Currently, our standard hourly rate is $45. Larger projects are priced on a bid rate.

Our typical process for working with new customers is to provide a personal estimate of the work to be done. We prefer to meet our new clients face to face prior to starting work so that they feel as comfortable with us as possible.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
For years I have worked in construction. I have always been good with my hands and I've always been a thinker. When the opportunity came to do home improvement and repairs, I took it because it fits my personality.
