Eli and the team were fantastic to work with. I highly recommend you meet with them, they are able to turn old cabinets into new without paying full price for a total remodel (think 15-20% the cost for 95% of the outcome). If you are looking at a new home or want to upgrade your own with older wooden cabinets - no downside to a free estimate for Illuminate to see how they can transform. Truly was a great process working with them. They also have recommendations of counter and backsplash companies to work with.
We are so pleased we chose Illuminate CabinetPainting to help with our kitchen update. Elijah, Jeff and Alex did a phenomenal job. Their attention to detail was impressive, The extensive prep work demonstrated how meticulous and thorough they are. While there are many large painting companies that also do cabinetpainting, we found that the individuals that came to quote us were not the ones that would be doing the work. When we met with Elijah for the estimate, it instilled a lot of confidence in us to know that he and his partners would be completing the entire project, and that cabinet refinishing is the sole focus of their company. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge based on cabinet size, age and condition. There are a surprising amount options and ways to go in a project. Every single situation is different. there is no cookie cutter way to do it. We are so happy to partner with you and walk you through what is best for YOU, from simple repaints, to full door/drawerface and hinge/slides replacement. We can even connect you with the best countertop and tile professionals and work with them on timelines.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Connect, set up FREE in-home quote.
Lock in the project details and dates.
Typical timeline:
Monday: Pull all doors/drawer faces, degrease, prep/mask etc.
Tuesday: paint faceframes/boxes (don't worry about completely emptying your cabinets) remove masking if possible. products dry to touch that evening.
Wednesday: Take doors/drawer faces to our spray shop. Repeat the prep process for doors
Thursday: finish doors/drawer faces
Friday: Reinstall doors and drawer faces, and let you get back to your life, now with an elevated kitchen or bathroom.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are a co-owner partnership of family men and passionate craftsmen. Jef has an extensive 12 year career in painting, and Elijah has an extensive 15 year history in construction, cabinetry, and fine finish carpentry. Together we can help solve all of your cabinet upgrade problems with a degree of excellence rarely found in general painters or general carpenters.
