Lane is very personable and an EXCELLENT teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson with him. I think any student could learn so much from him. He is organized and listens to what it is you are wanting out of your drumming & lessons. He helps you set goals. He is concerned with the ergonomics of drumming also (to avoid injuries) and will educate you on all of that. RUN -- don't walk -- DIRECTLY TO LANE for your drum lessons! I mean it; you will absolutely want this guy to be your drum instructor as I do!

Lane is a keen, patient and supportive Drum teacher. The guy has amazing skills and will shed his brilliance upon you if you embark in lessons with him. What I appreciate the most about our lessons is his criticism of my technique. He's helping me get a solid foundation with drumming that will last a lifetime.

Paul's teaching style makes learning the drums fun. He'll pick up the guitar and play along with you so you can relax into the groove you're learning. Plus extra tips and exercises that encourage independence on the kit. Had two lessons and it's been great!

Lane is the first person I have ever had instruct me in my 5 years of playing the drums. In about 7 months of lessons, I have expanded my percussion education to a level I thought would take me over 2 years had I still been teaching myself. He prefers to focus on what you the student strives to learn, unless you state otherwise. Overall the lessons and training I have received in 2013 have changed my entire aspect of where I believed I would be on an educated level. I highly recommend partaking in any and every lesson he has to provide!

I have only had one lesson so far, and I'm hooked! He's a great drummer, and an excellent teacher. It's been a while since I have done any drumming, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it again. I'm also stressed out lately, it's hard to get out of my own head and into my body. Lane helped me just forget, but also to remember what drumming feels like again. He is well versed in many genres of music, as I am, and I feel he can help me play just about anything. (maybe marimba?)
He has a lot of resources available so that I can study on my own, and has a motivating, step by step, interactive process in place. I also have a goal to work towards and he has helped me visualize that goal. He's a pleasure to be around, too. He has a gift! Looking forward to more lessons!

Lane is a ROCK STAR! Very kind and patient. By the end of my first lesson I was playing the first few measures of the song I wanted to learn. I am a 53 year old grandmother. Hello. He is a classically trained drummer which means he really understands music theory and technique. Don't get me wrong, he is rock-and-roll all the way! After the lesson he emails you class notes (what you learned and what to practice.) He will send you software that allows you to slow down the song you are learning...so you can play along. He will create notation for ANY song you want to learn. When you get your drums he will come to your house, set them up and tune them. AND
(as if this weren't enough) when you get good, he will make a music video of you playing. This is one stop shopping. Lane is THE ONE! I'm so excited. I am actually going to learn to play the drums. Weeee!

Nick helped with me trying out drums. I do play bass too! Piano! They are so cool! I learned a standard drum beat with snare and kick drum and 8th notes on high hat. I said hey could I send you a check, I forgot it. He said yes. Next day he asked me if I was stopping by and I already sent the check. And he said it wasn't there but I guess his roommate brought in mail. I asked him about a month later if he could lower his price a little to 25.00 or like maybe with a pay for four lessons up front and save 20.00 dollars was my intention. He charges 40.00 an hour and I am too a graduate of college and work at King Soopers and I have to work four hours to pay his fee. Musicians are broke so no one can afford it unless their parents will pay for it. In response to my question he said, "No I can't do that. This is what I do for a living and I've invested a lot of time and money into getting to where I am. I'm guessing if king soopers asked you to work for a little more than half of what you normally make, you wouldn't go for that." I understand where he is coming from but being rude and disrespectful, he just lost a student. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
