FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a 10% discount for a sibling, a 15% discount for a second sibling, and a 20% discount for three or more siblings taking piano lessons from me at the same time. There are two fees. One is the yearly supply fee that is used to help defray the cost of rewards, prizes, and stickers. The second fee is charged to students performing in the annual Big Recital. Sheet music and lesson books used by students are reimbursed to the teacher at cost. There is no charge for using music books from my learning library.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with new piano students depends on the students age, level of music understanding and ability, and learning style: whether or not the student is an adult, is a child prodigy, or has learning difficulties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My music education and training includes taking piano lessons from a German concert pianist, taking piano and voice lessons in college, and teaching piano lessons for nearly 20 years. I also have a degree in social sciences with a teaching emphasis.
