Scheduling an appt was really easy from the Internet. Very quick response. However, I did not receive confirmation on day and time when requested. The bee technician was very professional. I would highly recommend them.

This guy really knows his stuff. I am terrified of spiders so I have been using spider removal services for over 20 years. This guy impressed me so much I feel like he knows more than any of the companies I have used previously. I prefer supporting local small businesses when I can, and Jesse is a one man show that obviously takes pride in what he does. No dealing with dispatchers or employees who do not care, you deal with him directly. His pricing is also really good. I am glad the other company I was using disappeared, this company is better and cheaper!

Johnny Green Thumb Lawn Care came and removed all my leaves. They were professional, timely, and very polite. They provided a quality service I have been looking for. Rates are very competitive, they cleaned up and hauled away all the leaves. Even though it was late in the season. Due to my perfectionist nature they really did a small.area with no complaint and a positive attitude. I will be calling them for spring clean up and future leaf removal.

Dave was amazing! My elderly parents had mice in their home and I live out of state. Scheduling the service from out -of-state was no issue and he took care of them as though they were his parents! He treated the house as his own, taking great care to rid the house of mice as well as in thoroughly sanitizing the house afterwards. (We ordered the additional cleaning/removal of fecal matter package too.) We only have wonderful things to say about Dave and through him, Wright Pest Control! Would definitely recommend!!

i had him remove my basement door and reframe it so it looked like there was never a door there. He did a great job and was very quick. I've already hired him to install hardwood floors in another property that I own.

I had Steve and Matt from GR Home Improvements install a sidewalk for me at one of our rental properties. They had to remove the old walk that was made from asphalt and pour a new concrete walk. They gave me a scheduled start date and a completion date witch they showed up and performed the work on time. They gave me a competitive price and assured a good job. I was very pleased with their communication through the entire job and would recommend them to a friend.

I called Micah to get rid of a skunk in our barn. He was at our place within an hour, set the trap, and left. I called him that same evening telling him his trap had already caught the skunk. He immediately came out and retrieved the skunk. Very prompt and courteous! Thanks Micah!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

    • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
      • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
    • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost for a pest control service?

Whether you need to get rid of bugs or rodents, pest removal professionals can be lifesaving when you have an infestation. Pest control prices will vary based on what type of pest is being removed. The national pest control price range is $80-$130, although prices can be much higher for tasks like wildlife removal (raccoons, bobcats, etc.), which might start at $250 and exceed $500, depending on the animal and the trapping measures required.

The cost of eliminating a termite colony ranges on average from $240 to $400, but these costs can increase greatly if the whole house is infested. The average cost to kill cockroaches is between $80 and $130, while bedbug extermination ranges from $320 to $400 on average. The main factors that will affect your pest control price are the type of pest, the extent of the infestation, the accessibility of the infested areas, and the type of treatment required.

How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches?

Cockroaches are not only ugly, they are difficult to get rid of. Quick and resilient, they can be hard to get rid of without professional help once they have inhabited a house. Nationally, the average range for cockroach pest control cost is $80-$130. Extermination professionals typically provide a free estimate to determine the extent of the infestation. They’ll check for the main sources of the bugs, identify bug access and entry points into your home, and determine the best method for elimination. There are a variety of cockroach extermination tools including gel baits and traps, pesticide foggers, desiccants (which dry out the cockroaches), neurotoxins, and other pesticides. Pest control costs can also cover preventive measures like regular spraying and trap maintenance. Some regions of the country are much more prone to cockroach problems than others, so pest control costs may need to be part of your quarterly budget. Cockroaches love dark, humid, and warm areas and water sources, so place traps near your washer and dryer and under your sinks.

How much does it cost to treat a house for termites?

Termites are not only creepy-crawly, they can literally eat your house out from underneath you. Termites feed on damp and dry wood and can chomp through your house at an alarming rate. The national average pest control cost for termite extermination is $240-$400. Treatment costs can be higher for an extensive infestation. Here are some examples of average pest control costs for termites:

    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: $3-$4 per linear foot.
      • For $75 per year, a company may offer a maintenance plan that provides inspection of the property and renewal of the warranty.
    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: approximately $400 for a 2,000-square-foot home at $3-$5 per linear foot.
      • The price is higher for additional work such as foaming and drilling inside of concrete slabs.
    • Fumigation treatment of drywood termites: $1,200-$1,500 for a 30,000- to 35,000-cubic-foot home
      • Fumigation is measured in cubic feet because it fills the airspace of the home and infiltrates the wood that the termites may be colonizing. The cost of fumigation is affected by the number of levels in the home as well as the square footage.
