My name is Rev. Freya Harris and I am a licensed Interfaith Minister and the minister for over sixteen years with Spiritual Liberties Interfaith Ministry. And I also the founder of Weddings Magic Merriment LLC. I have a background with the Old Testament and New Testament. I am open and accepting to all couples and spiritual denominations. I met Freya at a ren faire last summer, not knowing that she would eventually marry my fiance (now husband) later that year. She is always upbeat, and passionate about providing the best while staying within your desired budget. David and I, as most couples do, wanted to have a bigger wedding at a fancy venue...until we learned the cost. We were both taken aback and nearly eloped. Instead I called Freya and she helped us with shopping around for the venue that would both fit our needs and our budget. David and I settled on a small resturant in Woodbridge, CT that had a back room big enough for 35 ppl. We talked endlessly with Freya on colors, flowers, music, set up, etc. Fast forward to the Day of wedding. It was a beautiful but brisk December day. I nearly fell face first on my dress walking down the aisle because I was so nervous. Freya told me to breathe and look at my son to be husband. The archway was beautiful and I nearly cried just seeing how gorgeous the room looked, with the flowers and candles and balloons. We had 2 giant white balloons tied to the archway, saying Mr. And Mrs., with white flowers and tulle wrapped around the poles, draping down. We had a simple ceremony with only our children, Rev. Freya, my husband and I involved. It was a handfasting, but legal marriage ceremony. The children lit unity candles to represent the joining of our blended family. My best friend called the elements and we toasted our patron god and goddess. Amazingly Beautiful. I admit I was a tippy, my mom gave me a cpl shots of whiskey before the wedding. Lol. So when we exchanged our vows and rings, I kept giving my husband the wrong hand, till he finally just took my hand laughing. Freya went along with the goofy, nerdy vibe my husband and I were giving off. Management loved the decorations and worked well with Freya. Overall... Best Wedding Ever! Thank you so much for making my special day truly special. We love you!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Meet the couple 2. Go over the date and theme 3. Then have the couple look over sample weddings. 4. Lastly, I write their sermon with everything the bride and groom requested.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides being a licensed Interfaith Minister, I am also a visual artist, writer and poet.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a licensed interfaith minister for over fifteen years. I have been a guest preacher at many different houses of worship, and the preacher for sobriety festivals held in Mass every year. I believe that we are all dealing with personal struggles. When we help others that is when that little bit of God shines through!
