We had booked sunshine entertainment for our wedding and could not have been happier. Chris was so great to work with. He was able to work with some of our special music requests and definitely made the night so much fun. We had taken our dance lesson for our first dance with him and absolutely loved it. Our guests were surprised we didn't do the traditional slow dance! There were some trials, all on our end but Chris was there and made everything run nice and smooth. Thanks for everything!! Would highly recommend.
If you have never danced before and you are nervous, don’t be! Dancing Fools provides private dance lessons! My husband and I hired Dancin Fools to take our chosen music and come up with a dance from which to instruct. It was so much fun! A truly wonderful experience. The personal touch with instruction led to the venue where we practiced the dance we were taught until perfect and confident ! My husband and I learned how to dance! We smiled and laughed a lot during the process. Very emotional and romantic performance that night as we celebrated our 38 years of marriage and the beginning of our new journey together. Thanks so much Dancin Fools!
I had the best time taking dance lessons with Stephanie. I signed up for a 10 hour package and fully expected to only take the 10 hours, but continued to dance for 10 years.
He is an awesome dancing teacher! He is very professional and experienced regarding wedding dance tutoring. Our wedding dance turns out to be a fancy and unique combination which is designed just for us! Besides, he is a nice person to get along. I am satisfied with his service and would recommend him.
Great teacher, small groups, family athmosfere, lots of attention, feels like you have private lessons, learning a lot of different dances upon our request, great, pleasurable experience, would highly recommend!
Ive danced at a number of different studios over the years and The Ballroom Project is by far my favorite. The quality of instruction is excellent- the classes are enjoyable and educational, the coaches engaging and encouraging. The individual instruction Ive received here has been transformative both technically and personally. It has given me the technique and confidence to compete along with an increased love for and appreciation of ballroom dancing. As to the space itself- the ballroom is spacious and well-lit, with a couch and table tucked cozily into an alcove. It lends itself nicely to the weekly socials and is just plain fun to dance in!
Working with Megan in the dance program at Franklin and Marshall College was energizing and enlightening! She taught master classes for my Dance and World Cultures class and the Dance Company. Our students loved her encouraging yet direct approach to the movement we learned, enjoying both her and the movement experience. She connected with them right away so much that they were asking me when we would bring her back to campus, which we are now planning to do soon!
I was looking to learn some hip hop dancing techniques, but couldn't travel too far from home. Fortunately, Kara Edwards was right around the corner and consistently kept in contact with me via Thumbtack until I arrived for my first lesson. Kara is an excellent instructor! She is exceptionally kind and taught at a pace I was comfortable with. I learned essential hip hop techniques in the first few minutes that would improve my moves. After completing the first portion to a dance routine, we concluded our first session and Kara gave some great recommendations. I enjoyed my session very much and plan to continue dancing with Kara. Thanks to Thumbtack I am on my way to dancing into a happier me.
I've known Tamara Belin for about 5 years now. First as a instructor and then became good friends. Tamara is a loving and caring person, and a wonderful artist. Tamara has been my instructor for quite some time now, I have seen her business grow "The Private Spot". I have to say that I love going to the "The Private Spot", its exactly what the name gives off. She gives you the one on one attention and training that you need so that one can grow as a person and also as a pole dancer/artist. Since she is also a personal trainer she even helps with fitness goals and your own personal goals. She has opened my mind and has made me realize how strong I truly am. She also has blessed me with many opportunities. I highly recommend anyone who wants to take a pole class to take a lesson with Tamara, in a calm personal setting. Tamara is definitely a definition of if you have a goal then achieve it.
My daughter has taken group classes, private lessons and participated in two full productions of Nutcracker directed by Liane. My daughter has had nothing but positive experiences. Liane's classes are challenging and well planned. The Nutcracker productions draw in more performers and audience members each year. It is a lot of time and commitment for the dancers, but the time spent is well worth it because the quality of the final production is so high. I definitely would recommend Liane to any parents seeking high quality classical ballet training for their children or to a studio looking to stage a production of Nutcracker.
I've been around a few NYC dance studios (BDC, Alvin Aileys, etc.) and private instructors so I feel confident in the following assessment of Elisa. So far I've attended a few private ballet dance lessons with Elisa since this spring and found her style both enjoyable in terms of keeping the mood and feeling positive, while still providing solid technical and engaging feedback that would improve my dancing and general performance. I've already learned so much technical terms and improved my overall body tone and posture. Elisa is one of the most patient, well-trained, highly skilled, reliable, and experienced ballet instructor in the NYC Area. Not only does she offer extremely competitive rates, but she is also very accommodating and her schedule is fairly open and flexible. As aforementioned, I've taken privates and group classes elsewhere, but they pale in comparison to Elisa. Elisa carries a commendable etiquette and a soothing personality; she doesn't rush or blaze through the techniques with frustration and arrogance as others have with me. So all in all, I recommend seeing Elisa whether you are an absolute beginner, like me, or a professional dancer. Keep up the good work Elisa! Best, SC.
My Daughter has been dancing with Revelations for 10 years now. The Artistic Director has the best imagination and it shines through in the recitals. My son loves the boys hip hop class. I have seen my children grow not only in talent but in maturity since dancing at Revelations. Being apart of the competition team taught my children the essence of team work. It's not only a dance studio it's like being apart of a family.

I have been training in hip-hop dance for three years. Throughout this journey, I am also attending college full time. I am looking for the opportunity to gain more experience with imparting my knowledge of dance with others because I aspire to become a professional dance teacher. I will be available part-time throughout the summer. I can provide an atmosphere that is free of judgment in which students will learn fundamental building blocks of hip-hop dance.
