Sarah was a joy to work with and pulled together an amazing wedding! She handled our decor, and was also our day-of coordinator. Everyone raved that it was the most beautiful (and best!) wedding they'd ever been to! My parents had come down earlier in the week to help tie up loose ends prior to the wedding and pick up any necessary slack. They were truly impressed that they didn't have to help with breakdown or anything after the wedding, and that it was taken care of and coordinated expertly by Sarah (and the Terrace on the Park staff). She followed up at regular intervals leading up to the wedding, so ensure Calvin and I weren't too stressed, to see if we needed anything, or to make sure we knew how everything was going to run. In choosing the decor, she always gave us several options, and also provided her personal recommendation for which would most accurately convey our wedding vision. She worked hard to find great prices for some hard-to-find items, as well offered classy alternatives when our wedding vision exceeded our acceptable budget. None of that, however, showed on the day of the wedding, when it truly looked like a five star, celebrity wedding. She was excellent, and if you work with her, she'll be sure you're well taken care of, and that your event goes off without a hitch (unless you're GETTING hitched, that is!)!
We hired Vickie for the Baby Shower. Vickie did an amazing job decorating the event hall. My wife was excited after seeing the arrangements that Vickie made. She was thrilled and happy that the event was well panned and managed. All the guests were also impressed with the event (decoration and planning). It was one of the best days of our life. All the credit goes to Vickie for making this event a memorable one.
I hired picasso parties for our middle school social. Darcee was terrific, engaging with the kids and very reliable. I would definitely hire again! Kids loved it.

I just hired Tammie to be my florist for my wedding. I originally was looking for someone to help decorate at my venue the day of. Low and behold she does it all! She has been quick to respond to all my emails and texts! She made it very convenient for us to meet at a bridal show we were going to already. On top of everything, her prices cannot be beat.. My event would not have been the huge success it was without her, she created exactly as I had imagined. Lisamarie suggested she do a Smores Bar, it was the ending to an unforgettable night!
I needed some invitations for a party I was having. I contacted Diane because I work with her on out high school reunion celebration. I sent her the information I wanted on the invitations and with in as little as the next day, or it could have been the same day, she printed a sample and sent it to me to approve. With very little corrections, on my part, I had my invitations within two days, with envelopes. The price was great and the service was professional. I will call this company any time I need them because I know I'll get excellent service.
She is the most organized and efficient! I came to her last minute for a lot of help with the wedding planning process. She helped me with every part along the way and made the process so much easier. Everything I asked for help with was done so quickly and even better than what I could have expected. I can really tell that Krista genuinely loves what she does. She was sometimes more excited than I was about the whole wedding planning process. I am definitely going to be going to her for planning my baby shower (whenever that will be)!

For my 35 birthday, I wanted to throw a huge celebration and enjoy it with friends and family. I couldn't think of anyone else to trust my special day with other than Sophia. Her level of professionalism and attention to detail surpasses any event planner I have ever worked with. Sophia not only organized a system that allowed me to be updated on a regular basis but also arranged for menu tastings, identified a photographer, decorations, and visited several venues with me prior to helping me make the right decision. She was a life saver because I am not very well organized but she made the entire process simple, easy, and fun. She took the stress out of event planning! My cousin Regina Marie planned my wedding before she'd even begun training or working as a wedding planner. I'd thought I could handle planning a wedding on my own but I was exhausted between work, kids and graduate school. Regina saw how stressed I was and offered to take over the planning process and pull everything together for me with 6 weeks left until the ceremony date. She saw things that I'd never have even thought of, tiny details that meant so much. My wedding ended up being a HUGE success! I had people asking who my wedding planner was and I told them that my cousin Regina wasn't a planner but DID plan my wedding. Everyone kept asking me for her contact info and her business card; she had people addressing her all night asking price information. That was four years ago and I'm glad she has finally started her business as a wedding planner because if she hadn't, it would certainly be wasted talent.
Meredith created the most beautiful, memorable 50th anniversary party for my parents. She attended to every detail with ease, which allowed us to enjoy the whole process. Her taste is exquisite and her planning skills are just amazing! I highly recommend her!

Dominque Carter was the best thing to happen to my wedding. She single handedly planned and coordinated the entire few days before and during my wedding day she was outstanding. She gave me all the details that I requested and that was needed to make my wedding successful. It was the best day of my life it looked as amazing as I had pictured it in my dreams and in my mind. She had used every single detail that I had thought of and it was laid out at my wedding the way I had asked her. Any questions that I had she had answers for. I would strongly recommend her for a wedding planner because of her attention to detail, her coordination skills, and her willingness to please her customers. And in the future if I have any other events such as a family reunion, baby shower, or my future children's weddings I will definitely be calling her again to cater my events.
We had several events ranging from family reunion, memorial service, birthday and graduation. Absolutely everything went off without a hitch they were very accommodating changing the menus add-ons subtractions everything was done without a fuss. Once you give them the menu you don't have to worry about it ever again you can focus on everything else you need to do. And in my opinion the prices are very reasonable and I would have paid more just for the peace of mind that they give you. Highly recommended wouldn't use any other.
I highly recommend her she was able to make suggestions that made my party colorful, she really pulled the whole thing together. The next time I have a party I will definitely use her.
Charlene did a Great job for our babies 1st birthday. He loves Barney and unfortunately Barney is a little outdated and there's not much out there to buy as far as decorations go. Charlene actually found a big Barney Balloon, along with other things which, when the baby walked in, he went straight to it and wouldn't stop "talking" to it. :) He was a happy birthday boy!!! Charlene was there before me and had everything set up for us. We were in from out of town so that we could celebrate with family so it was a huge help to have her do this for us since we were pressed for time. She even left me things to use such as speakers for music and utensils for the food. She was a huge help and everything I needed she had! I would highly recommend Charlene. She was reliable, available and was prompt getting back to me via email and texts as questions I had would come up. She also returned towards the end of the party to help me clean up. I got engaged on May 2, 2012. From that day on, my mind, body and soul was in wedding planning mode. The first couple of months of wedding planning werent too bad because there really wasnt much that my fiancé and I felt like we needed to do besides selecting a date and finding a venue. Boy were we wrong. I mean, neither of us had planned a wedding before so we had no idea what was in store. It was when I stared to get mini migraines and panic attacks when thinking about vendors, décor, transportation, themes, food selection, guest list management, etc., that I knew that we needed help. My searches for wedding planners lead me to the Knot, WeddingWire and Craigslist. On September 25, 2012, I came across an ad on craigslist for Events by Jackie M. Even though I have always been skeptical of any craigslist ad, something told me to contact Jackie M. This was one of the best decisions of my life. From our first meeting with Jackie M, to our last meeting prior to my wedding day, Jackie was prepared, knowledgeable about her craft, open to hearing any and all ideas, forthcoming with her own ideas, but not too pushy or forceful about it, always smiling from ear to ear, super responsive with emails, texts, calls, aware of budgets and able to find affordable alternatives to capture her clients vision, organized beyond belief with notes and reminders of each meeting she has with her clients, able to attend as many vendor meetings as her clients would like her to. I could go on and on and on about how essential Jackie M was in making my wedding day and planning process up to that day stress free and everything I could ever dream it to be. My fiancé, Vlad, was very skeptical about getting a planner. He swore we didnt need one and that we could do it all on our own. I was shocked to see how quickly after our first meeting with Jackie his tune changed. Even though she didnt know it, she was able to convince him just by her attitude and honesty. Additionally, our wedding venue also offered a wedding coordinator. Jackie did not view this coordinator as competition, but rather made sure to work hand in hand with her to ensure that the venue stayed informed of all my many details and expectations. Jackies ability to work well with all my vendors was very impressive and also put my fiancé and I at ease. Never did we have to step in to any uncomfortable matters because Jackie already had it covered. On the day of the wedding, September 28, 2013, Jackie was outstanding. We had a total of 262 guests. Jackie was professional, but very personable to all of our guests. I had many family members tell me after the wedding how helpful Jackie was in helping them find their seats or keeping the guests informed about what was going on. Jackie also created our ceremony programs which were beautifully made and also decorated our ceremony pergola. So beautiful! She also put together our reception centerpieces as well as other décor surprises that she included for us. We loved them all! I highly recommend (and have already) Jackie M to anyone in need of a phenomenal wedding planner who is easy to get along with, open minded, readily available even though she has clients and weddings booked almost every weekend. She is also very affordable and willing to work with all wedding budgets. Events by Jackie M. is a wedding planning experience you cant afford to miss!
