Niamh is really wonderful to work with. My husband and I got a young mini dachshund puppy named Pickles and as first time dog owners needed help house breaking and training him. Niamh has made several in home visits and has taught us so much. She has also allowed Pickles to visit her home to meet her amazing family and dogs. This helped socialize Pickles and has taught him to be confident around new people and other pets. My husband and I recommend her services to any dog owners in need. She is truly reliable, knowledgable, and very kind hearted. She even has background as a nurse and veterinary technician! Pickles, my husband, and I are so happy to have her :)

My 9 month old Husky has been a crazy, ball of energy since I got him and he had absolutely no listening skills. Koda has been trained by Kelly since he was 4 months old and he has improved drastically! He used to be so crazy that I even thought I may have to get rid of him because he was too much for my grandpa to handle and now I couldn't picture my life without him! He is much easier to handle and I have Kelly to thank for that! Now I am going to keep enstilling the lessons Kelly taught me for Koda and prepare him for his next step which is when he turns 1 he will do his last training class and take the service dog exam. I wouldn't of ever thought Koda would come this far.

Adrienne Mesko is an outstanding dog trainer, and those seven words are an understatement. I have only superb things to say. Adrienne has impeccable training credentials, a lifetime spent around animals, a perfect environment for training dogs inside and outside, and, most of all, a sound, consistent, thoughtful, intelligent and effective approach. And very reasonable rates for the astonishingly good training results. When I looked for a dog trainer on Thumbtack, it was as an almost a last ditch attempt. I'd tried everything with Kai, it seemed: not once, but twice at New Skete, the best in-home trainers for problem dogs that I could find in NYC, consults with excellent vets, Chinese herbs, nutrition changes, working at home every day, every leash/harness/muzzle/collar imaginable, but still he had seriously problematic behaviors: over-protectiveness and resulting aggression that led to lungeing and barking at other dogs and people and even several biting incidents. He's a strong adolescent male GSD, and his pulling on the leash led to dislocated knees and herniated discs. He's a love of a guy, however, and he'd had a difficult first six months (4 homes), and it was worth anything to give him a chance. So I went on my new Thumbtack app (it had worked well for me before) and Adrienne's credentials and skills sounded perfect for what we needed. You can see from the photo below how well he does with other dogs after his "board and train" with Adrienne. He's a dream on a leash. He's well behaved at home, hanging out peacefully on his raised bed "place," no more destructive behaviors to get attention. He listens, pays attention, and stops instantly when told "no," rather than making his own rules. His behaviors now match the smart, affectionate dog he always was on the inside. She's trained his humans to use the training approach she taught him, so all he's learned can come home with him. I will be thanking Adrienne Mesko for the rest of my days! And I'd be happy to talk about her work in person.

Christine aka "the new dog whisperer" not only taught me how to train my dog she took the time to get to know me. She was spot on with dog training and behavioral issues. She helped me become "the leader of the pack" using dog-friendly, techniques (NO SHOCK COLLAR, OR HARSH METHODS EVER!!!). Her goal was for my dog to love and respect me not fear me . She will work with you in your home addressing issues such as housebreaking, separation anxiety, aggression, jumping up, puppy nipping, walking on leash, and much more. Christine can help you with ANY BREED, ANY AGE, ANY ISSUE! Christine was available to help work around my hectic schedule and allowed time for the whole family to be involved. Before Christine trained Roxy our "French Mastiff" Roxy was jumping up on our company , barking non-stop , pulling on the leash to the point we could not walk her without our arms being pulled outta our sockets, begging for food and not listening to her commands such as sit , stay and come . With just a few shorts weeks Roxy was and is a changed dog . She is gentle , never jumps up on people or furniture . Our Roxy couldn't have made this transition without the training of Christine!

I rarely write reviews for businesses but it is my extreme pleasure to add a review for John Horan of ACTK9. John went above and beyond in training my dog Cooper. I could not be more please with the results of his work. I now have a wonderful dog who comes when called, downs, places, etc. I highly recommend John to everyone who wants the same results. He is a true professional. Thanks you John.

I had Natasha for 3 classes with my poodle. I found her to be professional and very easy to follow. She made the classes fun and would go out of her way to make sure that the person and their dog got the concept being taught. I definitely would recommend her and would not hesitate to have training with her again. Carla from Sterling.

As a teacher, I spend every day in the classroom. When it came to getting help training my dog, I couldn't face another classroom so I called Terry at Beyond Borders. I'm so happy I did! She is knowledgeable, patient (with people and dogs alike) and super flexible with schedules. I am happy to recommend her service and experience to others.
