About
Through TLC Vitality, I provide individualized whole food nutrition programs based around my clients' health history and goals. If you are looking for a quick fix, my programs are not for you. I do not utilize diet foods or processed products in my plan. My programs teach my clients what types of real food help them and how to use nutrient timing to reach their health and fitness goals. At the University of New Haven, obtaining my BS in Nutrition & Dietetics and BS in Biology-Premed gave me the scientific platform from which I build my programming. Studying Naturopathic Medicine at University of Bridgeport taught me how our nutrition can help the body heal or lead to disease. I take great care when building my nutrition programs. First, I meet with my clients to discuss goals, health, activity, and food preferences. Each of my programs is meticulously written for my clients individually. I want my programs to excite my clients about nutrition and the proactive ways they can reach their goals. I LOVE nutrition!! The way out food can interact and affect our body amazes me. I am innately driven to learn more all the time. My programming allows me to share my love for nutrition and human biology with my clients. Helping my clients teach their goals through my programming is wonderful!! I get the most pride in my work when I am able to teach my clients how to be autonomous in their fitness and healthfulness through their nutritional choices. It makes my heart sing when my clients learn to adapt my programming to change with them and their lives as their goals change. This is true success!

Tara is an awesome trainer. She is so well informed about health, wellness, and fitness. She knows better than most how to tailor your your fitness plan to your personal needs. I have learned so much from her and am very pleased with the results. I have been so energized by her vitality. I would commend Tara to anyone who is ready to change and take command of their health.

Tara became my personal trainer shortly after I gave birth to my second child. I was so out of shape that I thought it was impossible to go back to feeling fit and energized once again but I at least knew I had to try. With Tara's wealth of knowledge on nutrition, fitness, as well as her encouraging spirit, I've been able to shed 25 pounds and gain muscle, confidence and energy! Her personal nutrition plan has me feeling 10 years younger bc it was tailored just for me and my body's needs! I can't say enough about how professional and knowlegible she is. Without a doubt, working with her has been one of the biggest highlights for me of 2016. Thanks Tara!

Tara is wonderful! She is encouraging, reliable, skilled and knowledgeable. Most importantly, she listens to her clients and helps them work towards their goals. When I first began working with Tara, she took about an hour to really understand what I was aiming for and to draft/propose a plan. I chose to do individual sessions with her, and this was by far the best choice I could have made. Each session was geared towards helping me meet my goals and learn how to do an exercise correctly so I could do them on my own at the gym. Furthermore, each session was different, challenging and fun - I always left her sessions feeling sore, but great! Additonally, she prepared a meal plan and a workout plan for me to follow during the time I was not with her - she again took the time to learn what foods I like and don't like and what my daily schedule looks like. The workout plan Tara designed aligned with exercises I had learned with her throughout all my sessions - Tara made working towards my goals an easier task, and I have definitely seen improvements in my strength and fitness. Tara has by far exceeded all my expectations. If you are looking for a trainer who will be invested in reaching your personal goals, train with Tara. She is truly one of a kind!
