Introduction: I am CT certified in secondary math subjects. I enjoy tutoring in PreAlgebra, Algebra 1&2, Geometry and AP Statistics. I also do SSAT, PSAT, and SAT prep and have extensive knowledge on the new testing format that was implemented over the fall of 2015 and spring 2016. I teach both PSAT& SAT prep courses fall and spring at a local school district. I became a high school math teacher to help those who struggled or didn't care for math because that was what my experienced going through school was like. My license plate is "do math" and I firmly believe that math opens doors to employment opportunities. Whether you like math or not, it is power and is the key to ones future. If you can do math, you can do anything. I like to make people feel good about doing math.

$45 for 60 minutes, $60 for 90 minutes
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial discussion to find out what the primary tutoring objective is, I work with the student and their materials in addition to supplying my own resources. Skills, strategies and use of technology all come in to play during a session. I differentiate based on what a student needs to be successful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in mathematics in addition to CT certification in secondary math subjects. I have taught a total of 35 years between private and public schools. I currently work as a high school math tutor for a local public high school over the last two years after retirement.
