Barbara is an excellent music instructor. I have had 3 sessions so far and feel like I have learned so much from her. I can't wait to see how much more I will improve in the next 3 sessions. I'm glad I signed up for singing lessons at the Alexander Music Studio!

Thanks to Billy my 13 year old has been re inspired!! She has been singing for 8 years and was close to giving it up. She now looks forward to her lessons. My 10 year old, who lives to sing has reached new levels in her vocal training and is seeing progress with each lesson. She has also started piano with katelyn and cannot wait to be able to play independently. Love the new studio and the loving, encouraging vibe there.

Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.

After changing my major in college from music to English, I decided over 30 years later to go back to what I enjoyed more. I was studying alto sax. in college but now have a soprano to resume lessons with. Corey has been a great teacher for me. He is bringing me up to speed with changes in teaching styles and problem solving. He is a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and skilled saxophonist and teacher. Because of his awareness of available opportunities in our area to hear professional musicians, I have been able to plug back into the music circles. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I had a great experience taking lessons with Kendra. As an older adult taking up the saxophone for the first time she showed extreme patience. She is extremely talented and takes the relationship with her students very seriously. She is willing to work with her students wherever they are and the goals they have. I recommend her very highly.

Kellyann was great to work with. I called her she responded back in a timely manner and we started planning right away. She took my thoughts about my wedding anniversary dinner and formulated an outstanding plan. Kellyann made my 5th anniversary very special and I would recommend her services to anyone. Thank you Kellyann for your attention to detail.

Mr. Blackwell is an awesome teacher, and very gifted. My daughter looks forward to her weekly lessons. In a short few months of lessons you can hear the difference (control) in her voice. You will not be disappointed in the services of Blackwell's School of Music and Film.

I'm a college student with already quite a bit of experience. As a pit musician in musicals, I understand the importance of good technique. As a certified judge for CMEA (Connecticut Music Educators Association), I know what judges are looking for and can help you learn your region's audition piece at a good pace with good results as well.

I teach aspiring musicians of all levels on any woodwind instrument. I recently got my bachelor's degree in flute performance, and I currently teach woodwinds at a music studio and at my home. I'm very flexible with location and love to teach students of all ages. I have 8 years of private coaching under my belt, and it is what I truly love to do.

As a music teacher, I bring skills to children and adults that are difficult to find outside of the fine arts. With music, we work on brain duality (using both sides of the brain at once), practice technique (working over and over on a topic), self-discipline and more.

I am 19 years old and have been playing music since 4th grade. In my 4th grade, I played the viola. In the 7th grade, I picked up the clarinet. In the 8th grade, I picked up the bass clarinet. In the 11th grade, I picked up the alto sax and the acoustic guitar. I now teach my 13-year-old sis the tenor sax and my 9-year-old brother acoustic guitar.
