FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am a Certified Wedding Planner through the Association of Bridal Consultants and continually take the educational courses they offer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Worked in advertising for almost 10 years and started a wedding blog as a creative outlet when I was planning my own wedding. After successfully planning my own destination wedding, I decided that I wanted to start my own wedding planning business and help couples be as stress-free on their wedding day as I was.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Most wedding venues will provide someone who is an on-site coordinator who will help manage things the day of the wedding. But it's crucial that you chat with this person and ask just how much help will they provide. Will they be coordinating with all of your vendors prior to the wedding? Chances are the answer is no--because they are only responsible for what happens the day of the wedding at their venue. This is reason enough to hire a day-of coordinator.
