I needed repair to fix my door frame. My door frame was quite damaged. As soon as I filled out the Thumbtack repair request form, Walter contacted me. It was a Sunday, that didn't deter Walter to come out not only to assess the damage, he repaired it that same day. he also gave us a great price which was tremendously lower than the other prices I was quoted. Walter is very kind and professional! I'm quite pleased with his excellent work! (See the before and after pics.) I would recommend Walter and his company to anyone!

Riaz was able to diagnose the problem within seconds. He had a fix ready and resolved a few issues I didn’t even know I had. We have an iron door and he was able to adjust it easily whereas others balked at the idea. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat.

Ozeas did a complete redesign/renovation of our bathroom downstairs. Amazing attention to detail, helpful suggestions and incredibly responsive. He’s always upbeat and pleasant. His motto is “don’t worry, I’ll take care of it”, and he does. Ozeas far exceeded all of my expectations, no detail was too minor for him to attend to. He went above and beyond the original job he was hired for, including installing a security door and outside cement work. I highly recommended him and would not hesitate to have him do any additional renovation work we need.

Johnny was a pleasure to work with - from fair initial quote (which he held to), to scheduling, to his initial walk-through and then, of course, with the work itself. He cut wood to create shelves, replaced a number of light fixtures and adapted a few fixtures with ingenuity, hung window and bath hardware, an Ikea ceiling-mount channel thing, and - entirely outside of our original scope, diagnosed and rented the tool for removing an awful heavy iron door grill/gate. He was smart, knowledgeable, thoughtful, thrifty, accommodated changes...The real deal. Would/will hire again.

The work consisted of welding a new lock piece onto a broken gate; priming and painting a wrought iron fence and repairing broken cement. The work was professionally done in a timely manner. Luca was rehired to do additional outside wrought iron painting. He is reliable, responsible and skilled.

Damion is a a pleasure to work with - skilled in all things home-related and whose intelligence and professionalism make him an amazing find. I initially hired Damion to deal with a nasty and badly done paint/plaster job beneath our stoop. When he came to assess the job he was so knowledgeable that we agreed to expand the project to include the rusting door and other areas. In short time and with no real direction from me, Damion and his partner transformed the space. He even went the extra mile and applied a special stain/color to the horrible cement floor so that it looks like new. I quickly got an estimate for him to strip, refinish and repaint our wrought iron fence and railing and he completed that too in record time and with the same care. And I've subsequently brought him on to help me work through a long list of household fixes from hanging a swing from a metal deck to diagnosing a dead outlet. Would and will hire again!

I own a landmark brownstone in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. Adam Silver has done work for me at various times during the past several months. His work is excellent. He has restored and repaired the iron work on the window gates, fence and bannister in the front of my house and completely renovated the ground-level vestibule. He made improvements that other contractors said they could not do, i.e. he was able to take off the heavy layer of cement that had covered the ceiling and walls of the vestibule exposing the original brick and blue stone. He also took off the cement on the side of the staircase exposing the original brick, cemented the crawl space, and expertly sanded and painted the inner door and frame. Oh, what a difference! I couldn't be happier. Adam is not only affordable but he is a perfectionist about his work, always responsible wanting to please and very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend Silverworks.
