Thank you Nick for making my daughters Engagement Party one to remember. The DJ music and your sons solo music had everyone on the dance floor. We enjoyed it so much and received a lot of good feedback. We also loved the photo booth and all the pictures. Thank you for your solo at the end it was awesome! I will let you know when my daughter sets her wedding date. Joanne
Absolutely perfect—that sums up our experience with Scott. We hired Scott to entertain our 40 guests at our annual holiday party in our home in Tribeca, and his skills, background and music blew away the other vendors who submitted quotes. Not only is he a wonderfully talented pianist, he is a composer, arranger and teacher. As such, he brings unparalleled skills in creating the perfect musical backdrop to any function…and our holiday soiree was no exception. Warm and welcoming in person and via email, he is professional, pleasant and aims to please. My wife & I asked Scott to prepare a set list filled with sounds of the season—and Scott prepared and performed an endless array of wonderful holiday classics infused with touches of jazz…providing the ideal mood for conversation, laughter and enjoyment. We will most certainly be booking Scott again for our private and corporate events moving forward, and strongly urge anyone looking for a fantastically talented pianist to hire him for any type of gathering, large or small.
I met Gary about 15 years ago, when I moved to the States. His rock music teaching program for aspiring musicians of any age, grouped by skill level and interests rather than just age group, grabbed my attention the first time I visited the (now defunct, unfortunately) East Coast Music store. I joined his program, and before I knew it I became part of many bands that he formed over the years, making lots of new musical friends in addition to improving my skills. Gary's music talent is unparalleled: he knows thousands of songs across different genres by heart, his soloing skills are amazing (especially in jazz and rock) yet he only uses them artfully to refine the sound of the band, complementing shortcomings of the wanna-be musicians that he is teaching love for music to. The result is that any aspiring musician, no matter the age and playing skills, is offered a joyful and enticing environment to play music in, and feel "I did it, I can do even better and I know now what to practice on next". I am fascinated by his ability to interact with children all ages, get the most out of them and make them feel proud of their performances. When I took music lessons as a teen ager, they were all about score reading and practicing passages. Of course they are important steps, but I never had a teacher like Gary who would also bring in the passion of sharing music in a band, learning from each others' mistakes, making commitments to other band members to practice and improve, performing in public every now and then as a motivating challenge to grow musically. More recently I enjoyed playing with Gary some serious jazz. His improvisation skills are amazing and head and shoulders above anybody I know. As I play my part I listen to his soulful re-interpretation of the tune in awe, realizing how much more I need to grow and I can learn from him. I don't think there is any other professional musician that like him can dialog with pro musicians and primary school kids beginners with the same ease.
Spencer & Sequoia are abosolutely amazing! I hired them to play a song for my proposal in Central Park and they were great. They played the song perfectly and really created a magical and initiate atmosphere! It was better than I could have ever imaginged. Thank you guys! 👏👏
Barbara helped us find a piano teacher for our 2 kids. Great communication and we are very happy with the outcome. My daughters love their new teacher.
Tom is an accomplished, and very pleasant musician with lots of ability and knowledge. He is able to simplify concepts so that I am beginning to know a set of chords so that I can play a song on my ukelele, which is my goal. Perfect!!
Laura is a wonderful musician and is extremely positive. She teaches my daughter the piano and my son the violin. She also comes to the house, which is very convenient. Laura has high standards but listens to the kids to make the music they learn relevant to them and fun to play.
Alex has taught my son and me for roughly five years now. We were both beginners when we started, and Alex used his own version of the Suzuki method that combined traditional Suzuki (learning to play mostly by ear), sight-reading, and Alex's careful selection of ensemble songs. He is wonderful with kids and adults alike: patient, warm, and creative. I have been particularly impressed by his ability to engage the young (and sometimes the old) when they feel stuck. He is a skilled musician and a great teacher: highly professional, conscientious, and genuinely in love with both music and teaching music. I can't imagine a better instructor.
OMM is a very talented musician with a unique approach to entertaining the listener's ears. From the headless neck of his guitar to his computer generated digital accompaniment Matt will keep the party rolling.
I was a bit nervous starting piano lessons in my 70s but Jonathan has given me such encouragement and praise that I am eager to take on increasingly challenging pieces. He is very attentive both to my strengths and to things I need to work on. Lessons are stimulating and very rewarding. I have seen him perform in groups and solo piano - he is superb!
Brian has taught both my sons to play guitar. Brian's teaching style is very engaging! Brian teaches using songs and music that is customized to his students thereby motivating the students even more. In addition to Brian's excellent teaching skills, Brian is very professional and prompt. I would never hesitate to refer him to others who have an interest in learning to play an instrument. He is also an excellent musician in his own right. We have gone to a variety of venues to hear Brian play both solo and accompanied. Brian is a treasure in the world of music!
I have held Ed as a dear friend for over 40 years and know his charcter of loyalty, integrity and absolute strong moral principles which have strengthened our frienship. As a musician he envelops your senses with emotions having the ability to feed your soul in harmonious delight, no matter what the genre. As an Artist I am in awe of him. It was an immensely great pleasure to commission Ed Salazar to place on canvas what I had envisioned. He is a repository of Knowledge and skill that is transcendent. The uncanny gift in his strokes cause magnificence to unfold. Ed Salazar accurately captured my every thought and feelings, Surpassing all my expectations, beyond my wildest dreams. I anxiously look forward to our next Project.

We live in a private community and Dan played piano at our holiday party. He's an amazing musician and his playing sounded beautiful. He played all types of music related to all types of holidays and for people of all ages. We would certainly hire him again in the future and highly recommend him.
Al is a highly accomplished musician and a wonderful teacher. He has a great rapport with children. My kids, ages 9 and 12, look forward to their lessons.
Here at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, I've had a number of opportunities to work with Ms. Kelly as a solo act and with her bands, in all of our different venues. Always professional, on time and a pleasure to work with! And musically outstanding as well!
Margaret is very talented musician and teacher, a delight to listen to and to watch. I have heard her play countless times for many years at weddings and concerts big and small and never get tired of her beautiful skill.
Keyboard player available for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours as well as other functions.
Do you need a musician or a teacher? I play guitar, bass, piano, and a little of organ. The styles I could play, but not limited to, are jazz, gospel and others.
We are classical and klezmer musicians who are superb in every way. We are made up of conservatory-trained symphony musicians, professors of colleges, and full-time folk artists, who specialize in performing music in the concert hall, and equally enjoyable at celebrations. We are strolling table to table or stationary. Small to large ensemble, our customers enjoy our interaction with guests, via dancing and (for kids) our games. We enjoy what we do. Yes, it's "work" to do it right, but we do love this work.
Sam patterson is a graduating senior at Norwalk High school and will be attending Berklee College of music in the fall. He plays and sings an array of originals and covers of alternative/americana acoustic music
