David has been great to work with. I came across him and a few other teachers on the internet and after meetings a few, I decided to hire him for my seven year old son who has been taking piano lessons for two years and still does parallel to guitar. In fact, I was so impressed by David that I decided to take guitar lessons myself. I had not taken any music classes at all in the past, but thanks to David's teaching abilities, professionalism and patience, I have made nice progress and am enjoying learning how to play the guitar. My son is also enjoying the lessons. I work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and do not have much time to practice as much as I should, but David is making the learning a real pleasure and I plan on taking lessons for years to come. David is an excellent teacher with a tremendous knowledge of music and very capable of customizing his approach based on the student's skill level. I highly recommend him.

Guitar lessons can be boring, but not with Steve. Steve's guitar playing its Eddie Van Halen's level and best of all is that he is very humble and a funny teacher. He will take his time to explain you note by note on the entire fretboard. I always have fun learning new scales, arpeggios, triads etc. with Steve. You will actually get exited every time a guitar lesson with him is coming up. A guitar instructor that actually knows how to play pretty much anything on guitar, but if you are into Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, you should definitely take guitar lessons with Steve. - Winston Beast Master (Khiazma band)

Over the coarse of 6 or so years Chris Schreiner has given me countless one on one bass lessons. Not only is he a personable guy, he always finds inventive ways to help a student succeed; Professionalism (on time, proper equipment, and real life experience), clear articulation (Terminology and Explanations), and positive attitude will not only encourage you but motivate you to do well. His versatility is also a plus. He has no problem catering to peoples musical needs no matter how far out it may be. All in all, great guy, great teacher!

I love learning from Joey. I have never played a guitar before and have no musical talent what so ever. :) He gave me great recommendations as to where to buy a guitar and was even willing to come down and help pick out a guitar that was suited best for me. In our lessons, Joey breaks the chords down for me so that I can understand them easily. He goes over things from the lesson before so that I get it down pat. He is extremely understanding, flexible and a fun guy to learn from. While we are still going through different chords, (I am on my 4th lesson), I look forward to learning how to play songs with him in the near future. I would definitely recommend him to any one who would like to learn how to play.

My sister and I both took lessons from Sky. Because we were on different levels, he taught us each at whatever pace we needed. Always on time, always bringing new songs and exercises for us to learn, I would recommend him to anyone! Best guitar teacher I have ever had!

My younger son takes guitar lessons with Frank Enea every week. He works really well with kids and my son loves his lessons. It is easy to see how much Frank loves music and seeks to instill that same love of music in his students. He is able to quickly assess what works and what doesn't work for each individual student and tailor his approach to the student in a way that works best for him or her. He was also able to refer my older son to a great flute teacher.

I have been voted and considered NY's top guitar teacher for many years now. I teach over 60 lessons a week and I have far more experience than practically every teacher out there. I have been the touring guitarist for Lita Ford, Bent Pussycat, Almost Queen, and dozens of acts, as well as a broadway performer, and recently as the lead guitarist in Rock of Ages. I teach all styles and levels. I have a proven method of teaching that I have been using for twenty years. My students have gone on to become some of the top music teachers and performers in the business, and with my contacts I have helped them secure some incredible jobs and gigs. I teach in a very supportive and encouraging matter that never judges anyone. Lessons are productive and most of all enjoyable. I can sayed without a doubt, that only after one lesson you will agree that you are finally on the right path to reach the musical goals you always dreamed of. Search the web and You Tube, and you will certainly find my work. I do NYSSMA training and coaching, as well as scholarship audition planning and practicing. I also work as a consultant and trainer for music teachers who want to improve their own music lesson businesses. I have very few spots open, but I am always willing to take on a serious student regardless of level. All students are screened before starting. A free consultation with me is encouraged before committing to lessons.

Mainly I want my students to understand what they are listening to and be able to understand the patterns of the music so to speak. So when you listen to a pop song or rock song you can pick up on where the melody or rhythm is trying to lead you as a listener. I enjoy enabling my students to be able to play the songs they enjoy hearing on the radio, especially helping them to impress their friends and family.

I'm a professional studio musician with many years of recording experience. If you are a serious musician and have a particular style in mind, I can teach you of what you need to know. If you just want to play to entertain friends and family, that, too, can be accomplished in short order. I've been involved with the adult education programs in the Hicksville, Farmingdale and Plainedge school districts. I also started the guitar program at the Glen Cove WYCA, which is still currently active. I'm experienced in teaching all ages, at all levels; and yes, beginners are welcomed. Learning to play a musical instrument at an early age is proven scientifically to be beneficial to the child's ability to learn in all areas; this is well-documented. I offer one-on-one private lessons at your home or at my home studio (in Hicksville, on the Syosset border), and I teach all styles of music which include rock, metal, classical, jazz, fusion jazz, country, pop and others. Music theory and creative improvising are specialties of mine and are included in all lessons.

His credentials are very impressive -- 40 years experience, a master's degree in teaching music, a teacher of choice to many of the record executives, families, and friends (Sony, Epic, Atlantic etc.), he teaches all styles, and his methods will clearly get you to play faster and better than any other instruction in the area, and at the same time teach you exactly what you want to learn. We also offer a full line of repair and set-ups for guitar and bass and will teach you how to do it as well. We're offering lessons 7 days a week, from 7am to 11pm.

Bio: Born into a musical family, Chad Wade studied piano as a child and purchased his first guitar at age 14. He studied the electric guitar with Greg Nipp and played in several bands throughout high school and college. He later earned a bachelor of arts degree in music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied classical guitar under Cuban master, Mario Abril. Chad has performed at a variety of venues over the years, from intimate weddings to large benefit concerts (the largest being 7,000). He has taught both private and group lessons to different ages and skill levels for over seven years. He has been certified as a TakeLessons and Taylor Robinson Music instructor. Chad now serves as music pastor for Encounter Church in Darien, CT. Lesson content: I mainly teach the finger style technique and repertoire of classical guitar. This technique can be applied to different kinds of guitars (steel string acoustic, electric, etc.) and can serve as an excellent foundation to other musical styles (jazz, blues, country, rock, etc.), but can only be effectively learned on a true classical guitar. Beginning students will be guided through First Lessons for Guitar: Volume 1 by Julio S. Sagreras (which I will provide for $5). Students will also acquire the classic etudes of Sor, Carcassi, Villa-Lobos and Brouwer, later exploring the rich diversity of classical guitar repertoire from the renaissance, baroque, romantic, and modern eras. If you're interested in learning other styles, we can agree on a personalized track to learning what you'd like to learn. The first lesson is free: I offer this incentive because I want to assure the student/parent that we are going to work well together. This first lesson is a great opportunity to establish goals, answer any question, and clearly communicate what the student should expect from my guitar lessons. Parents are welcome to sit in on this relational discussion, as well as any other lesson, as long as they are not a distraction to the student. Performances: I also regularly perform at various events. The unique sound of plucked nylon strings elicits a pleasant, formal mood while remaining conducive for conversation. The guitar is most suitable for smaller, intimate venues, but amplification can be used for larger venues. My most requested pieces include Pachelbel's "Canon in D," Mendelsohn's "Wedding March," and Wagner's "Bridal Chorus", but most guitar music from the renaissance, baroque, romantic, and modern eras are often appropriate for any venue. Additionally, the guitar is versatile enough to play music composed for other instruments, so the possibilities are endless.
