On Friday June 14th I asked for his availability. He responded he was busy the weekend but Monday, June 17th he could help me out. On Saturday, June15th I said Monday would be fine. I said I had a doctors appointment in the early afternoon but I could bring my computer to him before or after that appointment. I asked where he was located. He replied that he was in Torrington. He said he worked from home on Monday so anytime should work. He gave me his phone number, then said he could come by my way if it made things easier. I responded by giving him my phone number and address. I repeated that I had a doctors appointment, but call me when it was convenient for him to come. I waited all day Monday for him to come, but he never called or showed up. At 10:55pm he sent me a message. He apologized, saying he had an emergency at work and just finished wrapping up. He asked if we could do Wednesday. On Tuesday June 18th, I said it was okay to do Wednesday June 19th. He never showed up. At 9:03pm he messaged me saying his day went to crap, then asked if we could do Thursday, June 20th at 6:00pm. I replied that Thursday at 6:00pm would be fine and gave him specific instructions to get to my condominium once he was in my complex. He did not show up on Thursday. He did not contact me Thursday night. He didn’t contact me at all on Friday. He did not contact me on Saturday. On Sunday, June 23rd he messaged me asking me if I would be available on Monday, stating he had been getting pretty tied up with work lately, but said Monday should be good. He said he was sorry for the reschedules but it’s a busy field. I did not respond. It seems like I was being played for a fool. It makes me feel like Thumbtack doesn’t employ quality people. It makes me feel that Thumbtack uses no guidelines to guarantee people who perform quality services. It makes me feel I should not trust Thumbtack at all!
