Scope of work was to install microwave hood with direct vent. Walter and team did a great job. I look forward to working with him on future projects such as kitchen renovation and framing renovation in the near future
We hired Marty to replace a damaged faucet, fix our capped pipping, repair damaged wood framing, and replace and patch the drywall in our master bedroom. All in a single day. He did an excellent and meticulous job on the bathroom, and the new faucet works great. The wall was closed up, and Marty even had time to take a look at our garage door opener, which had been malfunctioning for quite some time. The value you get for Marty's time is great. If you have any odds-and-ends around the house that need fixing, don't hesitate to give Marty Klein a try. You won't be disappointed.
We are still working with this contractor but are satisfied with the work as we go along.
Had a bad leak in metal roof. Called Kris about the problem. Came out that night to give me a price. No more leaks. Highly recommended
Glenn Scelza is a godsend. My old friend desperately needed help of a good carpenter to come and assess the benign neglect on the front of her antique home. Garage doors needed to be installed post haste, but the garage door company needed the repairs to be made first. I posted on Thumbtack and Glenn responded immediately. Glenn arrived and I could tell right away what a nice guy he is and is a seasoned carpenter/contractor. He assessed the project with a trained eye and zeroed in on what was good in terms of the construction and what looked bad to us, was very doable indeed.. He was very resourceful and made use of what could remain and shopped locally which I loved, for lumber, gutters, leaders and even found the novelty clapboard pieces to match the 1940's facade. He was very fair and open about what things would cost along with his craftsmanship which was worth every penny. I appreciate he could even work with us so late in the season even as winter weather set in. He will be present right after the holiday weekend to connect with the garage door people. When those vintage looking doors are installed the place will regain its curb appeal once again, thanks to Glenn. This guy is a keeper and I can see why is highly recommended! I add my recommendation to Thumbtack as well as our neighbors in the community. I look forward in working with Glenn on future projects. Thanks Glenn! Norm Peekskill, NY
I would recommend SJ Remodeling to everyone. They did a fantastic job in building out my MMA Academy. These guys are the real deal! They helped me immensely in the planning the gym build out and guided me in efficient utilization of the space. If you're looking for contractor that do great work, guide you through your specific project and most importantly do not take advantage of your ignorance in construction. SJ Remodeling are the contractors to use!!!
Bob is an awesome contractor as well as a person. His work was maticulous, service was great and he was reasonable as well as dependable. He installed a door after framing out a doorway and built a closet from open space. I would highly recommend him to family and friends. In fact, those that have come over since the job was done have requested his contact info.
We hired Bruce to remodel and update our bathroom, kitchen and to install washer and dryer hook ups in our 1920 Colonial. The project included new electrical, new drywall, building custom cabinets and doors as well as installing new plumbing. Bruce did not disappoint and the work was excellent and exceeded our expectations. It passed inspection with no problem and we are happy that our historical house now has modern ameneties such as a dishwasher, ceiling fan, and light timers. Bruce communicated with us every step of the way and always made sure to clean the work area (since we had to live in the house during the remodel). I would highly recommend Bruce again.
Very professional, on time, awesome price, good quality work. Especially when you use alot of contractors, you know the ones that are good like we do. Thank you for a great deck stain job......so happy we found you.
When I contacted Square Feet Contracting, my contractor of 8 years had just walked out on me leaving my old kitchen floor ripped and the sub-floor only partially redone. This was the weekend before Thanksgiving and the kitchen installers were coming to install the kitchen at the end of the week after. This means that we had about a week (Thanksgiving included) to finish preparing the sub-floor, tiling, and grouting before installing the kitchen cabinets and appliances. I contacted Square Feet Contracting over the weekend and Paolo was at my house on Monday morning. He saw the project, took his measurements, and gave me a quote and a contract on the spot. Being that he could get started on it pretty much immediately, I signed right away. Paolo came with his co-worker Roberto always on time and in good spirits. This was a complicated tiling job because of the amount of obstacles, corners, closets, laundry closet, and little nooks that required a lot of patience and tile cutting. On top of this, part of the kitchen was an addition done many years ago and the floor wasn't exactly level. Paolo suggested changing the pattern of the tile in that part of the kitchen and that turned out to be an excellent suggestion. Not only was the unleveled floor issue solved, but the change of pattern looked aesthetically beautiful. He also suggested that we use the same tile to add a baseboard (battiscopa, as Paolo would say in Italian), and that was another excellent idea. Our floor looks incredibly beautiful. I definitely deserve some credit for picking such a gorgeous tile (lol), but Paolo and his crew truly did an amazing job in a timely manner (not rushing, but never stopping) and for a reasonable price. Since then he has also done my foyer. There are just two steps that go from the foyer to the house and the way he blended the kitchen tile on the horizontal part of the steps and the foyer tile on the vertical part of the steps is really remarkable. Paolo takes pride on his work and that shines through in the final result. I have so much respect for that. Now I want him to do my back-splash (as soon as kitchen counter-tops are installed), and then we'll move onto the two bathrooms. I give Square Feet Contracting five big fat stars without hesitation and I strongly recommend them to everyone.
We hired Anthony to rebuild our existing deck. We wanted to keep the existing frame structure and wood decking, but wanted new posts, railings, balusters and stairs. We purchased clear cedar railings, stairs and balusters which were stained, and douglas fir posts which were painted. It was a challenging job due to the fact that our deck had settled on both ends and was not very level. Anthony's patience, combined with his experience and attention to detail resulted in a better than expected result! We're very happy with the job and would highly recommend Anthony Jones to others.
We have used Dakota Builders for multiple sized framing and trim jobs for the past 25 years. They have always delivered top quality work and are always willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Great people, great craftsman!
Joe, first of all thank you! My family and I are very thankful we found you. I am sure we will talk again in the near future. Martelle Builders are nothing short of professional, responsible, but most of all AMAZING at what they do. I have built a few houses and I have had my share of terrible contractors but Martelle Builders by far exceeded all expectations. There are contractors that will just go into a job and just do it, and then there is Martelle Builders, who treats his job as these houses were of his own. It is more than just the money for these guys. Oh, and did I mention they framed my new construction mid-winter?? Do NOT hesitate to hire MB... I am very glad I didn't.
James came to fix some aluminum siding that had some loose in one area and completely fallen off on our window. And also install a fan on our outdoor porch. He was very professional, good communication, very friendly and a fair price. I would definitely hire him again for jobs both big and small.
High Mount Construction completed a kitchen, living room and master suite addition to my home six years ago. They also renovated a playroom of mine five years ago. The work was completed on time and within the agreed perameters. The cost of the project was competitive with other bids. Krys was always punctual and replied promptly to any concerns. From framing to painting, we have been very pleased with the results and would highly recommend High Mount to anyone looking to do a home project big or small.
The job we had Ralph perform was a dual inside outside project. He replaced all the doors in our house and replaced siding outside in advance of painting. Ralph gave us many options with materials so that we could fit the entire job within our budget. The work was done timely and the work was excellent. Ralph went above and beyond in replacing our doors as the house had settled and made the frames difficult to work with. He made sure that were happy will all the work before accepting the final payment. I would recommend Ralph to anyone looking to do a home improvement project.
Steven was prompt and thorough in his work. His rates are reasonable and He looked for ways to keep the costs lower. He took pride in the work he did on my home. He cleaned up after himself and was able to make changes as needed for the project. Steven always shared any issues and provided receipts and updates regularly. He was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.
My experience with Twin Renovation was outstanding. They finished my basement and this project was completed about 2 weeks ago, so while I can't comment on the long-term lasting results, and immediate finished product is exactly what I was looking for. It was a relatively simple job - I just wanted the concrete walls nicely finished in a cost-effective way and for the existing tile floor to be covered in carpet. Right off the bat even before coming to see the project, Vinnie spent time with me carefully listening to my ideas and questions, and giving me advice about what would work best for my situation. Quotes I got from other contractors only included moisture protection, framing with furring strips, and drywall, and were still astoundingly high even without the flooring. Vinnie's quote was significantly under every other quote I got and included all those things plus the carpeting, painting the walls, framing out the windows, and installing a nice baseboard and window trim. Vinnie and his team were all very friendly, approachable, and accommodating, which helped put me at ease because this was the first home renovation project I had ever attempted and I wasn't confident in how to walk through the process. Vinnie communicated well and kept me well-informed every step of the way, and they ultimately finished the entire project in under a week while staying true to the original price quoted. At the end they told me that if I noticed any problems or issues that I should just call them and they'd come back to fix it. I also really appreciated their honesty because at the last-minute I asked if they could carpet the stairway as well and Vinnie said that his carpeting specialist was not available for a while. He said that the person doing the work was proficient in carpeting flat flooring but was not proficient in stairways, and he would prefer to be honest rather than potentially do a sub-par job on something. I think sometimes people can be greedy and want to find any way to inflate prices and make an extra buck, and that is just not how Twin Renovation does business. I got a fair price for high quality work and I will definitely be using them again and recommending them to anyone I know! Thank you!
The contractor put up the sheet rock for the walls and ceiling of a sun room and securing with a beam which made everything very stable. Also put in framing for the windows and insulation. Contractor also installed French doors in the kitchen. Contractor also was very maticulous in the way he tackled each phase of the project. He also made sure any mess was cleaned up before he left the job sight each day. I would highly recommend this contractor.
