We hired Gary’s Handyman Services to install a large room of Drywall. Great customer service, arrived on time and got the job done in one day. Quality was great, no touch up needed before painting. Highly recommend.

I hired Antonio (Tony) Sanchez from Renaissance Restoration to complete a kitchen renovation this past fall (sorry I did not get around to completing this review sooner!). I did all the demolition, but the job included lights and electrical, plumbing repair, cabinet and counter top install, appliance install, and painting. Tony gave a very reasonable estimate and personally worked on my project with his assistant from start to finish as opposed to having one of his employees complete the job. As he began the job, he soon realized that virtually nothing from the original construction was square (townhouse was built in 1987). However, that did not phase him as he had the skills to adjust making those imperfections unnoticeable in the end. In addition, Tony has skills in most of the trades which meant that he did not have to sub different parts of the job out; he did all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry himself. The best part of my experience working with Tony was that he discussed and explained different options or ways of completing a task to ensure there were no surprises, and I was impressed with his willingness to even teach me a little along the way. He was flexible in allowing me to have a friend install the tile floor and was understanding of my need to stick to a rather tight budget. There are only two comments I could make for overall improvement: cleanliness and timeliness. On a couple of occasions, I had to discard empty food containers and drinks that had been left behind. I attributed this to oversight and could be easily improved by making an effort to clean up the work site after each day of work. Considering it was not a space I was using though, it was not that big of a deal. As for timeliness, the project took longer than expected to complete. However, I know that my involvement did have some impact on the schedule and the fact he was doing the work himself while still managing other jobs is a factor. I would not hesitate to bring Tony in for another project in the future. I am completely satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent service, excellent work, excellent people! I had bedroom furniture that I tried to refinish myself and made a mess of. John refinished the furniture and it looks even better than when we bought it. They finished weeks earlier than they told us and we were thrilled! I highly recommend John Mark Power Antiques Restoration.

I brought Craig three pieces of antique furniture to repair: my great-grandmother's Eastlake chair and side table, and an expanding table. I wish I had before pictures - all three pieces were badly scratched up. The expanding table had been previously repaired incorrectly, and had a wobbly leg. Craig restored each piece to its former beauty. I hope they will be pieces I can share with my grandchildren. Craig communicated clearly my options at each step - he gave his recommendation but was not pushy. He was committed to my project and took painstaking care to finish the details of these pieces in the correct way. Craig also helped me to coordinate an upholsterer for the chair. An overall excellent job by Craig. Four months later I am still fully satisfied. Thaddeus

I gave Carlos a very complex job of renovating a large antique Japanese tansu (a large chest). It involved removing all the (lots!, over 30 pieces) hardware, painting it black, repairing the locks that were frozen open, and reattaching each piece of hardware, finishing the front with Scotts Liquid Gold (rubbed in oil finish), painting top and sides, building a new back for the chest to enlarge it (antique chests commonly shrink on the sides) so that drawers that would not close now close beautifully. He was careful to plan the pickup and delivery with me so that I could reserve the freight elevator (high rise building). Overall a job done carefully and with careful communication to answer questions during the process.

John did a fantastic job refinishing an antique desk for us! It involved disassembly, stripping and sanding existing finish (including intricate detail work), and application of new stain and finish. John sent us pictures of the desk throughout the refinishing process. We appreciate his strong work ethic, his kindness, and his commitment to restore beauty to every piece he works on. We will definitely be calling on him again for future work!

I had never used an upholstery service before so when I found them on thumbtack I took a chance. They not only were fair and helpful but the sofa they repaired took only a week. I am thrilled with the way it turned and highly, highly recommend them.

My work stands out from my piers in business, because I care about the quality of work I complete. For one thing, my custom paint prices are in the median range but quality can"t be surpassed. I also offer very resonable prices on real estate work and exterior painting, yet maintain high quality. This company is small so we may be in your home for a week, but we are honest, considerate of ones property and always make the customer happy with our work.

Customers should use my services because I take pride and care I'm my work, I'm reliable, reasonable, and timely , and my job is not complete untill my customer is happy. I aquired my skills while working with my father in his business as a younger child and grew to love the customer relationships and seeing a beauitful peice of furniture refinished I also love to hear the sentimental value behind the furniture.
