I contacted MJE Catering at night, with a short-notice catering need. I wasn’t expecting a response until the next day, but the response was immediate. We began discussing the particulars of my need and with some assistance and suggestions, a menu was developed within an hour and a proposal was sent over first thing the next morning. The menu had descriptions and color photos of each selection and the proposal was thoroughly explained. The event was only 3 days away, but Mercedes was able to assemble a team and to provide the exact meal that was requested and shown in the proposal.
On the day of the event, the serving crew showed up right on time. The kitchen area had appliances, however they were not working, but MJE Catering kept the food hot and ready to go until mealtime. The food was plenteous and delicious (the teriyaki salmon was a crowd favorite). The service was professional, courteous, and friendly. MJE Catering totally eliminated the stress of the event and the late notice and helped to end a solemn occasion on a high note. We are extremely grateful to Mercedes and will support her business with any future events. Highly recommend you give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
MJE Catering provides quality menu items at an affordable and competitive a la carte price. You know your crowd and your event theme better than we do, so we price this way so you can build a package that best suits your needs instead of us boxing you into a package deal that doesn't really work for your group. You can order as many or as few (really 15) of any menu item you desire. We run regular specials and promotions - ask us what we have cookin' this month!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we’ll need you to complete our initial inquiry form. It may seem a bit redundant since you've already given Thumbtack some of this information, but it helps us have all your event information in one place. Once we decide upon your menu selections, we’ll create a quote for you. If all looks well, you’ll accept the quote and we require a 50% deposit to hold your date.
