When I first started working towards becoming a DJ over a decade ago, I had one goal - to create the best experience for anyone that books me. While other DJs have trouble taking requests, I gear my business to please my clients. I always ask for a playlist before every event to ensure that the atmosphere of the event is perfect. I initially found DJ Morriscode on Instagram, but after reading many good reviews decided to pick him for our wedding. He did an amazing job. He was professional throughout the wedding planning process always answering questions in a timely manner. He also made a few custom mixes for us to use. Some of those mixes require multiple changes to get it to our expectations, but DJ Morriscode never complained and made those changes easily. I had made a playlist for him to understand my music taste, and the groom lost his playlist. When I told DJ Morriscode which music artists the groom likes, he was able to perfectly blend our personalities into the reception. Everyone had an amazing time as he did a hood job of reading the room and changing up songs. We are glad to have chosen DJ Morriscode for our wedding!

I make my price based off all the information I receive about the event. Depending on the event I try to be flexible and work with my clients budget, while upholding to my prices.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before agreeing to DJ an event, I get all the information on where it is, how long I will be providing music, and how many people will be there, and any other valuable information.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned how to DJ when I went to Beat Refinery in Bethesda MD. I graduated from Hampton University with an Audio Production degree.
