I had originally thought I had a wonderful experience with Eric, but I used him for two events - a graduation photo session and event photography (a related grad party). The photos from the graduation session are stunning. Amazing lighting and composition. He stayed late to take more photos, which was very generous of him. He gave me a quick turn on some of the best photos, which I greatly appreciated. He was also easy to work with me and my parents, as well. Juggling the group as we took photos. The subsequent grad party event was...not great. He was late, the photos left much to be desired and many of the candid photos of the guests were unflattering (mid-sneeze, mouths open talking, plant in front of a face, people looking at phones during dinner etc). So I honestly don't know how to rate him on Thumbtack. He is clearly a capable photographer given the grad photos, but his event photography, and the discussions we had about the event photography, leave much to be desired. Given the inconsistency, I wouldn't work with him again. Perhaps he's better in a one-on-one setting and not an event.

We hired Demetric of United Photography for a college reunion event. Demetric was very responsive during our initial communications. He arrived at the event early and set up his equipment. During the event, we had approximately 100 attendees. Demetric did an amazing job of capturing candid photos of the attendees and also group photos. He easily blended in with our group and did not get in the way. He was very much the ninja but was also very helpful with arranging the attendees for the perfect group shot. The photos came out FANTASTIC. The level of detail and warmth captured in the photos were amazing. I had other members of our planning team comment on the top quality of the photos. They were all VERY impressed. This was a very successful event for us, in part because of the excellent photos captured by Demetric. I highly recommend Demetric and United Photography for any of your events.
