Introduction: Hello! My name is Jon Stetes and I have been servicing the DC, Maryland and Virginia area dogs for 8 years. Five years ago I went to a three month dog training school where I learned from the best of the best! I am a certified trainer, well versed in all training techniques and know every dog is different - I take the time to find out just what your dogs needs are, as well as yours. I have worked with hundreds of dogs, any size and any breed. My goal is to make you feel better about owning your four-legged friend and make them (and you!) happier as a result :-).

I met Jon for an evaluation about my new lab mix, Dex. Dex was a hard puller, jumped on people, lots of energy and did not know many commands nor did he listen when we tried! During the evaluation Jon was very thorough, asking many questions and also focusing on what I was concerned with. He was confident all these things were achievable and so we signed up for his private lessons course. Within in just two lessons, Dex was already walking better on the leash and much more responsive in general! It turned out, Dex was a much faster learner than I.. but Jon was patient and helpful with the learning process. He was positive, answered all my questions and also shared so many interesting tips/tricks to being a dog owner in general. We finished the course and Dex has been so much better in all regards! We often get compliments for how well behaved he is. Additionally, Jon boards dogs so I know Dex is in good hands with someone he trusts and I trust, in a home environment. He has continually answered any questions years later! I highly recommend working with Jon, he is truly a "dog guru"!
