FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up around construction, but after college I decided to pursue a career in acadamia, and moved to DC to get my masters. After I graduated, I applied to some PhD programs and eventually decided I wasnt willing to spend any more money on education. I also decided I coudn't sit in an office all day. So I did what most people do when they change directions in life. I drove 600 miles home, got my tools and went back to work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm willing to do anything for my clients. I have the attitude that one project always leads to another. So if you need me to change your door locks, let's do it. Light bulb, okay. 2 years later, kitchen remodel. Perfect.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A client wanted some built in bookshelves. At first it was a pretty small project. 4 shelves 9ft x12 ft. But the client was concerned about the location of the TV in the room. She didn't want the TV to be the sole focal point of the room. She wanted the TV to be apart of her bookshelves, and she still needed the same amount of space! So we expanded the project to include built in cabinets to enclose all of the TV and internet equipment, we wrapped the bookshelves around a window to create a reading nook, and overall ended up with 19 linear feet of bookshelves that look amazing!
