- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 an hour. I will give a discount for a package of classes paid in advance absolutely! I have no additional fees!!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During my online or in person classes: For Beginners , I encourage conversation practice from the get-go! Basic greetings and how to introduce oneself , what you do etc.. Studying the Textbook prescribed, lesson per lesson, practicing exercices in class, and sending homework. In addition I suggest Podcasts and other useful ressources. For Intermediate and advanced level students, my technique varies. We work on articles in the French press weekly. My students can increase their vocabulary immensely, and learn idiomatic French expressions, as well as more complicated sentence structures with a higher level of French, known as 'le français recherché'. In addition students study the more richer grammatical structures, that they may not have mastered at the Beginner Intermediate level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied at L'Institut Catholique de Paris- At l'I.S.I.T L'Institut supérieur d'Interprétariat et de Traduction- Degree in French, and a Bilingual Translator and Interpreter (French/English/English/French) At Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) | Since graduating University at the Sorbonne and at L'Institut Catholique de Paris, I have been teaching French privately, with online individual classes, and in person, as well as Group conversation classes in Washington DC. In addition to this, I contract as a French Instructor with International Organisations and Non-Profits in Washington DC, such as PAHO ( Pan American Health organisation, CNFA, (Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture) and IBP ( International Budget Partnership) and working as a bilingual Translator ( French/English/English /French).
