I was impressed by Family Roofing. I contacted them via Thumbtack over the weekend, had a meeting set for Monday morning at 10am, scheduled to have my AC removed as well as my old brick chimney, and then have the whole roof patched up and sealed. The price quote was reasonable, $2000, and the next day they had a crew of 4 people show up and get the whole job done in about 3-4 hours. They showed me pictures of the work done, they showed the old AC in their truck, and they also came into my house to clean up the mess from a few bricks in the chimney falling through my ceiling. The only hiccup was that the work was scheduled to be done the following Monday so I was surprised to get a phone call on Tuesday telling me it's done, but nevertheless I am happy with the work, and the lead on the project apologized several times for the miscommunication. They also have told me they have a one year warranty on all work in case another leak pops up. I'm not sure why they only have 2.5 stars on Yelp because I am satisfied with this crew. My main suggestion for the company is to improve communication between dispatch and the client -- the crew was surprised that I wasn't informed that the crew moved its scheduling up by almost a week.

Family home improvements came to my house and gave me an estimate that was a very fair price. They arrived on time to do the work and they were extremely professional and friendly. The quality of the work on our gutters was superb. I would definitely hire them again if we ever needed more work done.
