Math tutoring is often about connecting to the student, making math relatable, and building confidence. Mr. Johnson has done a very impressive job at accomplishing the three. The connection with my high school sophomore has made him a better math thinker and problem solver. I say this as a 20 year teaching veteran. The investment in Mr Johnson is well worth it.

We are very fortunate to have Mr. Johnson as my son’s math tutor! We have only had one session and he was very engaged with the math subject my son is studying! I love his professionalism. He has ask permission to speak with my son’s teacher to know the modules as well as know my son’s challenges relative to subject and his learning style! He leaves learning tools for him to refer back to during my son’s independent study period!

Charles was an outstanding tutor. He delivered as he promised with the personal approach and helped me continue to succeed. He helped me solidify my A in my probability course in grad school. Charles was the first tutor who had the program I needed SPSS, allowing him to know the program's ins and outs. Others wanted to learn with me and look at the program from my screen, I didn't trial and error time, I needed someone who knew what they were doing and who could help me know why and what I was doing within a timely manner. He is a Genius in what he facilitates. He will give you the entire course within minutes and then will slowly start breaking down components until you understand. If you still don't understand or look confused, he goes a different route in explaining things until you do understand. I lucked up having him as my tutor; I am very grateful for his expertise because he made test running(t-test, chi-square, 1 way & 2 way Anova) on SPSS easy, especially with my busy life. I'm 35, a wife, 2 kids (12 and 4), I cook, clean, and play, alongside working a 40-50hr job. He made time in-between the little time I managed to make! He seems like an awesome person in real life. Thank You!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do. For College students I charge $50 per hour session. For middle and high school its $50 per hour session. For the subject tutoring I can work to give a discount with bulk sessions. ACT and SAT courses I charge $75 per hour (includes manual, instruction and practice exams). I prefer not plan individual hour sessions for Test Prep- I have found that the momentum is created from a commitment that lasts longer than 1 hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the pace of the desired implementation, we can diagnose the issues and construct a game plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Math and Physics. I have over 10 years professional experience in college administration. I also have part-time work as a substitute teacher and work with national test prep companies.
